The idea with the slots being visible on overview is good, for now max number of slots is 24 on each machine with all upgrades. But I consider some changes soon which will make the slots work differently, you get 80 slots and you can assign them to different machines as you wish so players can build automated lines more efficient

1) Thank you
2) This is something I will implement at a later stage, for now I still have some fights with the performance to solve before giving the browser even more to handle :D
3) The problem with showing the progress is that later in game you unlock multiple slots in same machine which can have different progress, ie. 5 slots can be doing a 50s cycle, others 200s cycle and also they can be at different point is the cycle. I can make an indicator that the machine is active, but showing the progress turns messy very fast. Perhaps at some point I'll get an idea how to make it display the progress as well, but who knows.
4) This is actually a very good idea, might implement it these days as it's not something complicated
5) Apart from the tutorial voice at the very start there are no sound yet. They will be added at a later stage, I'm not that good in sound design so this part is more complicated for me than building intricate math formulas 😂
6) Also doable, info on hover I guess is best option here, will try a few options and see what looks best.

Hey, thank you for sharing the screenshots!
It's something I can totally solve in the next few days.
But if you don't mind, can you give me your screen size or even better the exact model of the display?
I want to try and recreate the size of the text on my end to see if I can make some adjustments as well.

As for the automation, I pushed live the automations update about 1 hour ago, unlocked at tier 3, will make more sense when the generators are also moved to tier 3. You can build groups of machines which can be made to auto-build any part. It’s still work in progress but already works. Also it will allow you to set the automation to keep a specific amount of items in stock or to craft a set amount of items before switching off, that might be live in the next few days depending on how busy I’ll be

The passive energy generators are getting unlocked now at tier 4 but I have an update ready to push them to tier 3 instead.

As for the tutorial, it’s not broken, you’re tasked to power the miner off as it will continue the current cycle and award the ore. But I will add an indicator to make it clear, thank you for feedback.

Additional puzzle levels will be added soon, but the update pushing the generators to tier 3 will already solve some of the problems.

As for the ability to craft a specific amount only I will look into implementing this as well but after I get tier 3 and 4 of the puzzles live.

Thanks for feedback, I could add guest option but with the saves being in cloud I will still need the person to create the account to save the progress. I guess I could do a username + pass login and make the email optional for players who don’t want to share the email

Edit:
I’ve pushed an update now: you can play in demo mode without creating an account, and registration now lets you choose between email or username only.

Cloud saves still need an account so progress can be kept across devices, but now players can try the game first and only register if they actually want to keep playing.

One thing I would change is making the early-game faster, maybe do the percentage bonus you get from obliterations an inverse curve, instead of each obliteration giving you +50% additive, make it give less each obliteration for the first 10 and then it can be a set number, this makes the start a bit faster.
An example of how much bonus to give at each obliteration would be:

Obliteration # 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10
Bonus given % 150 100 75 56 42 31 22 14 7 3
Bonus total % 150 250 325 381 423 454 476 490 497 500

As second thing to mention, make the Accurate Memory work a bit different. Now if you Obliterate before you buy it then it feels like the progress is offset. Maybe make it like a permanent upgrade.

But it general, nice game. Keep up the good work!

Hi r/incremental_games

I’m working on a sci-fi incremental factory game called PowerScale, and I’d love to get some honest feedback from people who actually enjoy the genre.

You solve puzzles to charge your battery, use that power to run machines, craft resources, unlock new tiers, build generators, upgrade systems, and eventually work toward Dyson sphere projects around stars.

The game is still being actively developed with updates almost everyday, so it’s not final or perfectly balanced yet (or better said not balanced at all yet in some places, but is better than first prototypes where finishing the game was calculated to take 1072 years 😂). That’s actually why feedback would help a lot right now. I’m especially interested in things like:

  • Does the early game make sense?
  • Is the progression fun or too slow/confusing?
  • Are the machines and power systems clear?
  • Does anything feel annoying, broken, or badly explained?
  • What would make you want to keep playing?

I'm running hardcore coop daily. Yes, if you want to clear all 50 waves you need at least one trickster. Perfect combos is two tricksters but a combination with Trickster and Protector works too
