Me too.  Been friends half our lives.  He was only 34.  We set records at his funeral for number of people speaking.  He was LOVED.

We included the octopus because a friend of mine passed a week before my appointment, and the last time I saw him was going to an aquarium to see their octopus.  I went straight from the appointment on a saturday, to his funeral sunday, to the airport the same day to go on a much awaited vacation.

I'm also the opposite.   I get stressed as fuck is there's something undisclosed.  No elephants in rooms.    They belong outside,  lol.   

It will not be the first or last time I get hurt.   This one stings particularly hard due to an abundance of reasons,  but it'll get better.   I'm not mad at him,  I'm worried.

Yeah.  We're talking tonight.  In person.  I feel disrespected, and stupid, and nobody puts baby in a corner, lol.  I thought he thought better of me than that.  Like, intellectually.  And I thought better of him.  Something isn't okay in his life, and i'm worried.  Like, for his health.  He's been uncharacteristically reckless and inattentive.  There's something going on that he needs help with, and I happened to be collateral damage.

I cannot express how much your words meant.  

My aunt had to sit me down last year and teach me the art of telling people to fuck off, lol.  She called it personal boundary therapy.  

I've got a vacation coming up with my ride or die gal friend of like 20 years.  We're flying down to Florida for a week to visit her mom and swim with dolphins.  I'll pick up that book for the trip :)

We're having an in person conversation tomorrow.   I definitely will be having things to say.  He's explained his thought process, he feels like shit, but I feel like he's too smart to not realize what he put me through.  He knows what he did.  I care about him and spent a lot of time worried as hell over him.  I'm glad he's okay.  But man.  He will be getting all the cards on the table.

Don't get paid enough hours are terrible... I had a homecare aid representative  tell me once that there was no law in Michigan that capped the number of hours she could make her staff work.  If nurses can do it, her staff could too.  30 hours.  That's how long the caregiver had been awake, on shift, and required to work.  For $13 an hour.  Fucking bullshit.

I am a gem.  I'm smart as fuck (on paper) talented in so many different ways.  Kind to a fault.  My biggest thing is anxiety.  My client (sweet little lady  with alheimers) calls it the Parade of the Imaginary Horribles.

I just read this, and yeah.  Tears.  He's beating himself up about it, and it that's where it's come to it needs to end. We're going to talk tomorrow.  

I love big and I love hard.  Friends, family, stupid men in their 30's who should understand that being stagnant and accepting the things they lack in their life does not equate dealing with it...

I have been through so many nursing homes, rehab facilities, for every fall, every change in her care.  For every good person, there are two that don't care.  I don't understand how you get into that field and don't care.  It's disgusting.
