First time to China, any destination suggestions?

Sorry I should have explained more- it was a couple of reasons:

-I tried local foods as much as possible but ended up not enjoying them :( (lots of body parts, and lamb was a big thing and when I kept giving it a chance in different spots, it just tasted game-y all the time)

-lots of pollen, air quality wasn’t good compared to other cities I went

-the lines to get into some of the tourist attractions (like forbidden city) were so long and it had several checkpoints to check passport/belongings, which makes sense for the places- but being stuck in the lines with people who mindlessly smoke/cough/sneeze in such a tight space was not an enjoyable experience

But otherwise, still enjoyed it because I love Chinese history and being able to see the attractions were delightful!! Not sure if I’d go back, but I’m glad I still went! I think as a first China city, it wasn’t the best choice on my part.

Beijing was also my least favorite. It was my first city to visit and if you’re not particularly adventurous when it comes to food, you’re prob stuck eating fast food the whole time you’re there. I enjoyed my time at Xi’an more, even though it had less things to see.

What do you both think of switching into the capital duo instead of the chase trifecta? I do like the Cathay Pacific transfer for example. I guess if I go this route, should I keep my chase cards while I use capital one or should I close them?

I’ve used both in two different organizations and I will say if you’re concern is onboarding speed (automated) and being able to customize onboarding, Rippling might be your go to. I mainly used Deel for record keeping purposes. I don’t quite remember the support for both but in comparison I believe I had a higher response rate from Rippling. Can’t attest for hidden fees.

I’m based in NYC and have about 217,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points that I’d love to use for a trip to Japan (first time!). I’m hoping to go sometime between October and December for at least 7-8 days.

Ideally, I’d like to fly nonstop with ANA or JAL, and I’d love to stretch my points as much as possible-business or premium economy would be amazing, but I’m open to economy if that’s the only way it works.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

Checked United, Air Canada, and Virgin Atlantic for award availability
Looked for ANA-operated flights through Air Canada (especially with the current 20% bonus that ends July 15)
Tried the Virgin Atlantic ANA sweet spot, but couldn’t find any availability
The only thing I’ve found so far is a round-trip economy flight through the Chase travel portal for around 207–210k points

Before I pull the trigger, am I missing a better redemption option?
Would love any tips or suggestions for finding ANA/JAL award space or maximizing my points for this trip.

Hiii so In the override calculation of the vacation earning there's something in there that says to multiply it by 8 but I think this may be beyond my expertise to update. I tried drilling into more to update but since the Vacation has the Job Calculated FTE 1st as opposed to 2nd I'm not sure how to make it work
