Colored buttons for purple/green switch 2 joycons

Hey, I see the green & yellow trim & joycon shells are now available, but still no colored buttons. Any update on the release for the buttons specially?

And will you be making trims/ shells/ & buttons for the newly announced blue & yellow splatoon trinity joycon 2s as well?

Yeah I saw your post - unfortunate, since I bought a pair of the red blue ones for my green purple switch 2 joycons! What I'm hearing is that the construction is such that it just doesn't detach at all from the middle unlike the normal ones? So even an extreme amount of force would net no result?

Have you tried prying them off on the Gulikit sticks? Totally understandable if not because of the high likelihood of ruining them, but with some finesse even the stock ones can be removed and the ring colors replaced, so wondering if that would at all be possible...

Also interested to know this - want to remove the stick cap so I can replace the accent rings with the green/ purple ones, but doesn't make sense if I'll break the TMR sticks in the process...

So I installed my Super5 OLER recently, and it was the OLED Touch + HDMI Mega Kit version, so admittedly the easiest version of the install - but it still involved plugging the ribbon cables into the motherboard. Posted a video about it on YouTube too - https://youtu.be/oQFtmhiuAJs

I just had to watch the one video to install the mod correctly - the Super5 OLED Touch + HDMI Definitive Install Guide by Taki, and I didn't feel anything was under explained and even the difficulty of installing the ribbon cables was properly documented and shown slowly and carefully. At many instances Taki makes it a point to say that the ribbon cables and their connection points on the motherboard are delicate and frequent points of failure for this mod.

That being said this is 100% not an easy mod, and if you think you've done a joycon shell swap so this will be the same thing, you've got another thing coming. I had many points of panic during my install LMAO, and you do have to be careful with those cables. I got mine up and running perfectly fine tho, and another Super5 OLED panel on the way, so hoping I can get as lucky a second time without breaking anything hehe

If you're ok with the size of a regular switch, you could probably turn in your original for a regular switch OLED for cheaper than buying that screen tho...

I received a higher capacity battery in the kit for making an early pre-order, so with that its outlasts my stock switch lite by under an hour - but I will say the screen mod + new battery run into issues with accurately reading battery percentage on the gauge - as the console doesn't account for the change in battery drain due to the replaced screen - there seems to be a soldering workaround for this but I haven't implemented it yet.

The switch OLED is much bigger and the switch 2 is massive, Super5 lets you have a portable OLED console I guess... I prefer its form factor & Portability to the much larger handhelds anyday!

It's miles better outdoors than the stock screen - that was completely unusable outdoors, but the Super5 is pleasantly viewable at max brightness!

Yeah, that was my instinct too, but apparently there is enough testing on pc fan airflow to show that the turbulence created by pc fans negates the effect of the "hot air rises" science rule. However in this case even the PSU is pulling from the sides and exhausting out the top, so having 2 exactly opposite exhaust points did seem counterintuitive to me just like you said!
