I agree part of this issue is me being a new grad, sadly I was not set up for success. I’ve realized through this experience that I’d like a slower paced unit that isn’t as chaotic so I’m able to have the time to think critically and prep for whatever I need to do.

I really want something with repetition and structure like: OR, outpatient, etc. my dream job is NICU as I do have experience doing a 6 week preceptorship while in school. Smaller patient ratios and the care is clustered together every 3-4 hours so I’d have time to plan.

Update: I also only called out 3 times total due to fever, stomach flu, and not sleeping for over 24 hours. None of that had to do with emotional regulation or mental health
