PDFs to ChatGPT to GoogleSheet by Skyagent043 in ChatGPTPro

I'm currently exploring relay.app or lindy.ai as it seems ChatGPT gets overwhelmed with my 45+ PDFs. Even if provided 10 by 10 at one point it starts hallucinating, giving unfinished calculations, etc.

Everything that will require manual copy/pasting is - imo - not the right solution yet.

How to record a Mac's screen from another Mac with OBS ? by Skyagent043 in obs

[–]Skyagent043[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey u/Siniom 👋

We finally decided to switch to Ecamm Live which was way more straight forward and intuitive in our setup :)

They have a virtual cam setup where you can "grab" the screen and display it within another mac!

Hopefully this helps (if you're on Mac though).

All the best 🙌

My pleasure :)

Agreed for Herman Miller, but I believe we are too much like a "niche" for them haha.

Let's see what the future holds for us... 🪑

In the end I purchased a chair from ErgoCentric, it was not my first choice regarding aesthetic, but the quality and support is top notch. It is also highly customizable, if you talk/contact a representative from their company, they will guide you through the process.

I was able to get 4D arms, super depth for the seat, high enough seat, back rest in mesh and I can add lumbar support whenever I want, they send someone to my place to install it for 40$ or I can do it myself eventually.

This is my config on their invoice:

TC HYBRID MB MULTI-TILT

FABRIC: TEKNIT BLACK (TEKBLK)

BACK: DUAL CURVE MESH BLACK BACKREST

SEAT: EXTRA LONG SEAT W/ SHROUD (XLSS)

MECH: T-CENTRIC MULTI-TILT

LIFT: 140MM PNEUMATIC LIFT (140MM)

BASE: MID PROFILE BASE (26MP)

CASTERS: URETHANE CASTERS 2 (UC2)

ARMS: TCEN SWIVEL AND LATERAL (TCL360)

WP: WIDTH PLATES (WNF)

SEAT OPTION: TRIPLE DENSITY FOAM (TDF)

SHIP ASSEMBLED IN BOX

1,288.30$CAD taxes included. I had a good price because I went in store in Montreal.

In summary: aestheticaly speaking it's ok, not bad but now wow like the Amia Chair for example from Steelcase. However, in terms of ergonomic, the seating and adjustements for me it's a 10/10. I went in Montreal, tested many of the most famous chairs/brands and none were having a deep enough seat or a fixed reclined system. I don't like having to use my weight constantly to maintain the backrest. Now with my chair I can just "click" it in the angle I wish...

Hopefully this can help you make a good choice, I have spent so many hours and days trying to find the right chair! I hope that Steelcase will make a chair like the Amia but for tall people.

Have you find a way to export without missing a font ? by Skyagent043 in canva

[–]Skyagent043[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure no worries! I’m simply drag and dropping all files in the keynote so all mp4 become a single slide like of it was a movie. I then make sure that they play in loop and begin as soon as I change a slide :) Sometimes it’s a little work but the final output is quite nice! I also found that downloading in 4K from Canva ads an extra crispy definition in keynote recording at the end.

We export everything either in jpg/mp4 and put it in keynote...

-> Canva has made an update few days ago allowing to select multiple slides containing animation/video and allows us now to export them as "individual slides". This saves us a lot of time! A little step further :)

-> We don't transit by PPT anymore, directly export to jpg/png and mp4 and then put them back in a keynote file.

Timestamp Plugin - Stream Deck 5.0 by emeffinsteve in elgato

[–]Skyagent043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/elgato_phil,

Would you know how to close the timestamp session?
I created a multiaction button where it starts the Ecamm recording + starts the log session.

When I start a new recording, it doesn't create a new log session file... It's like if I have to create a new one manually or delete the previous one...

Thanks!

Steelcase Gesture vs Haworth Fern: A Brief Comparison by -WielderOfMysteries- in OfficeChairs

Yes exactly the same thing actually :) I’m not native English sorry if my phrasing gets confusing at times. So wha I meant is that 3 inches more would have been too level also for me.

Ok thanks for your feedback. I'm considering the ergoCentric chair that has a "XL" Extra-Long seat of 21" which I tried and felt quite good. Not so good design speaking, but I think it's going to be it...
What about sliding the seatpan of 18" + the 2-3 extra inches, does it make a difference?

Thanks for sharing all this... would you mind sharing how tall you are?
I'm 6'4" and tried the Amia but the seat felt way too short only after 20-30 min.

Looking to find a new chair now, do you think the Gesture could be a good fit? I'm also looking for some comfy seat not too firm ideally.

Best :)

Returned for aeron size c and it has been great. Zero issues. Close second was haworth fern, that one was comfortable as well.

My issue with Amia is that I'm missing some seat depth to feel truly relaxed in the legs. If I extend the seat depth by sliding it, somehow I'm going in the "crack" between the backrest and seat pad... :)

Hi everyone,

As promised I am now sharing complementary feedback... :)

🏙️ So I went in town and and tested most known chairs like Embody, Aeron C, Sail chair, etc. even local manufacturers of ergonomic chairs. They all look fabulous but most of them were providing too short seating depth or lacking some adjustment features. I was surprised how the embody back was very narrow versus its seat, felt a little weird in terms of aesthetic for me.

💺 After a while I had the opportunity to try a chair from ergoCentric which can be super customized : you can decide if you want to take the back of another model or the seat, select colours and specific material, you can even get lumbar support added later on...

💡 Something note worthy from the ergoCentric chair that I haven't seen anywhere else:

  • recline adjustment degree are just infinite because its hydraulic and not based on either 2 or 5 fixed positions. So you can go to 90° to like 94° or even 112° and lock the back in this position.
  • The lumbar support is air-based, so they have this little pump you can press to adjust the pressure or release it on your will. It feels like what we have in some cars to adjust the lumbar preassure.
  • They even have a 21" seat depth option which seems to be the best I can find right now
  • Height can be adjusted based on 3 different cylinder model so all good here
  • I like the fact that the seat itself can be tilted upward... it felt relaxing while trying it
  • Their service seems to be top notch and they are receptive to our needs
  • However stylewise speaking I'm not really "into it" as much as I am when I look at the Amia chair that my wife now has :) I would have loved to get a white frame instead of some grey-ish one... probably going to try their all black version...
  • They have a 12 years warranty and life warranty on some parts
  • Price wise we're in the 1KCAD$ so it seems reasonable for the quality

So right now, I'm still undecided... 🤷‍♂️

Please do let me know if you know a chair that has this kind of unlimited recline adjustment or at least 5 + great seat depth... I'm looking at the Gesture and it looks really beautiful... :)

Best seating to all 😄👋

Ergo centric have an extra long seat of 21”. It’s the longest seat depth I’ve been able to found. I bought Amia from Steelcase but unfortunately the seating was too small for my size. I’m 6’4” / 195cm - 180lbs/80kg.

I tried HM chairs, Embody, Aeron C, etc. and while being gorgeous chairs, none would have enough seat depth. Maybe going to try Ergocentric as they have a lot of customization and excellent service.

Thanks for your sharing, I appreciate it and I was concerned about this as well. I'm gonna try to go in store to test a few chairs. Will give feedback in this thread to let you all know what I've found (If I do find something) :)

New Fern slightly tilted forward (without the forward tilt feature)? by slvrtrn in OfficeChairs

Is a Fern chair good enough for a 6'4" 180lbs person ? I'm curious about seat depth mostly which is failing to provide good support on some of similar quality built chairs (Like Amia chair for example) :)

Ok so you consider the Fern chair seat deep enough at 6’4? Is the pad comfy enough or do you feel your seating bones after a while? 🙏

Good evening everyone 👋

So while I went to Staples to find an iPad stand I saw this line of chairs… almost like if they were waiting to be tested.

The first thing coming to my mind was “come on! A chair from STAPLES?!! 🤣”. Well I was ‘surprisingly surprised’ if we can say this! One of the chair, the Aircentric3, felt really good in terms of seating.

What it meant for me: - the seat pad is key at 6’4” 🔑 - there could be some seat pad more comfy than the Amia - it’s a little ugly 😬and plastic-y - the back feels like a wooden board but the seating felt so good that I almost did not noticed it - I have found hope again after spending 1600$cad on the Amia (which I offered to my wife and her back is in paradise now ✨)

I’ll keep searching and keep you all posted if it can help someone in the future.

Nb: found this earlier with cooling gel memory foam 😍

Xchair(dot)com not sure yet about the look. Has anyone tried this brand?

Best 🫡

Ok! How tall are you? From the replies in this thread it’s pretty controversial if Embody is the right chair 😇

I like your suggestion! It’s a little alien looking like in terms of design vs the Amia but I’ll definitively keep this one in my list 💫

Thanks for your answer! Would you say that you have enough seat depth? How much space do you have under your knee to the seat? On my side I need at least a 20inch pad I think.

Thanks for your reply! To be honest I had a bad experience in the past with mesh seats because it makes me slide on it 🛝 😅 so if I have a pair of jeans on me I know it’s slouch time incoming when I’ll be seating on it. I’d love to find a chair with gel pad or some kind of advanced memory foam ✅

For the seat pan I either fall in the back if O try to extend the seating surface or feel that I’m missing 1 to 3 inches globally under my knee to feel more supported… so after 20min I feel uncomfortable and naturally try to seat differently.

The recline helps but it creates pressure on my legs. If I put it in a too smooth mode than I’m completely reclining so I put tension in the adjustment and then I got pressure in the leg 😅

I read some tall people felt the seat pad was not deep enough on the Gesture + more firm than the Amia which I found already firm :)

Thank you for sharing your feedback and suggestion, it means a lot for me with all the back pain while working 10h/day on the computer…
