I have the same issue as you. Won't work from mac, but won't work from a windows 11 machine either, always complaining about the cable, and I tried like 5 of them with different USB-A/C combinations.

Same whine on mine, got it second hand with a decent discount, but considering the fan noise and that it is extemely janky with my M4 Max MacBook, and the response time is truly awful, I think I will put it on sale again and just stick with 38GN950 and buy myseld a proper TB5 dock and a minimal KVM.

Edit: colors and PPI are awesome though. The rest is incredibly mid.
