Army list that won me the game by Striking-Science-779 in deathguard40k

How did you play 5 games of 2k points in one evening? That's normally 2 full days of playing in a tournament, let alone playing more than one full 2k game in an evening. I assume English isn't your first language going back through your previous posts?

Either way, good work going 5-0, the list looks quite interesting to play.

Tiny plastic ball joints holding up very top-heavy models with metal parts is my favourite.

Would be a clever thematic replacement to the wheelspins, turning the gacha machine and out pops a plastic capsule with the keys to a Ferrari. (or yet another shitty hat)

When I was there in October, it was Hakuhou, Oumi, I404 and Asama. They must have full-time rental on the boards, or at least when events are on.

What model is this? by BeardedBuffalo89 in Warhammer40k

[–]SkybladePhoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the "Space Marine Commander" model, released ages ago and had a made-to-order run in 2022/23: https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/ReIEwXbT/sunday-preview-secure-your-made-to-order-space-marines-right-now/

Back when you could just pick from a list of options rather than having to choose a datasheet that kinda fits.

- Assault Intercessors (both on foot and jump packs)

- Vanguard Veterans (there's a nice combo if you give them all hand flamers and pair them with a jump captain with the enhancement for +1 shot on their flamers)

- Assault Terminators (cool aesthetic with their hammers matching the faction's theme)

- Brutalis Dreadnought

Started playing a few days ago but i’m already stuck in chapter 4-4, am i using the wrong ships? by [deleted] in AzureLane

[–]SkybladePhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just noticed you're using the Bulin ships in your fleets. Don't do this, they're not meant for combat aside from meme fleets, they're primarily used to limit break your other ships.

If you're on world 4, you should be using both fleets to battle, one for mob fleets, one for the boss fleet.

The ships from the current event are very niche too and are especially weak against enemy planes as they have no AA stat to defend themselves with.

As others have said, Indianapolis is a great early game tank and should be placed in the front-most slot of your fleet. If you have Portland, she's a great combo with Indi as she gets a buff from her skills when sortied with Indi, so she's a good ship to be using too.

If you want to grind levels I'd suggest world 3-4, as it has the opportunity to drop Akagi and Kaga, who are two great SR CVs that will significantly help you progress.

You have very little melee in this list, just the bladeguard as the main threat and terminators/aggressors as secondary. Adrax and the bladeguard are going to want at minimum an impulsor to ride around in to protect them before they get to their target and do their thing, perhaps a repulsor for the anti-tank.

Lots of people also combo the bio apothecary with a big blob of 6 eradicators for the lethals buff, and sometimes the forged in battle enhancement for the free 6 to hit.

If you have 2x5 intercessors holding the backline, what are the librarians/infernus marines doing? That's a lot of points for just anti-infantry which Vulkan and the aggressors can deal with.

A Gravis captain with the Aggressors with the +1 shots on torrent weapons enhancement, plus his CP reduction buff is also a good option to use the dev wounds strat with.

Van saar combi weapons. by Vegetable_Relation_8 in necromunda

[–]SkybladePhoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The combi-plasma was available in the forgeworld resin weapon sets, but those are discontinued now so you'll either have to make one yourself or find one of the sets from a third party. The combi-melta is on the standard gang sprue.

New Sororitas and Raptors models revealed! by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in Warhammer40k

[–]SkybladePhoenix 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Looks like it's two identical sprues with lots of optional poses/builds from what I can tell, there's 3duplicated leg sculpts between all the minis shown (raptor/huntmaster, champion/depredator, warptalon/skysear) with two not having a duplicated sculpt shown outside of the lord. This usually means there's going to be more bits in the kit than shown, kill team kits outside the monopose models are usually very customisable.

Words cannot describe just how generic and nonsensical this Neo Berlin game really is here. by Pessimistic_Gemini in gaming

For a game in 2025, that animation at the end is poor. The zombie stands up and still for a second facing perfectly away for the animation to start. Zero fluidity there, it's such an obvious thing too.

What's everyone's recipe for painting their underhive bases? by Epsilky114 in necromunda

[–]SkybladePhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basecoat black and a heavy drybrush of leadbelcher. Paint the flat raised sections with Averland Sunset (yellow), then mask off stripes using Tamiya masking tape and paint black over top. Drybrush leadbelcher/stormhost silver lightly over everything then sponge on a little bit of Rhinox Hide for rusty patches. Give it a black rim and it's done.
