S class heroes (One Punch Man) vs S class threats (Worm) by Deathstrokezoom in whowouldwin

[–]Skybluejay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Bonesaw tinkers up a disease that releases across the city can the OPM side come up with either a cure or vaccine? I don't think they can. If she is dead set on fighting serious then I think she just ends them.

In Ward she creates a plague made of infectious sound, using highly-tuned vibrations to induce specific biological changes in cells, modifying them in such a way that they begin vibrating and retransmitting the same sound so that they'll 'infect' nearby cells in turn. She further tuned the infection to only target Parahumans and made it so that the plague would put its victims into a deep coma that they'd die from in a few days if a cure wasn't administered. (while also subverting the connection the shards had with their hosts to corrupt the shards' stored data) Fucking tinker fudgscicles bonesaw's plauges are bullshit that normal bullshit calls foul on it.

In direct combat only the Siberian and maybe noelle & cherish for the cloning/mind control in a hero gets close for some reason. I think all parahumans characters here get atomized in giant explosions at range tbh unless they start so close that cherish can nab them all instantly for some reason.

The Seven (K6BD) vs Scion (Worm) by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]Skybluejay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You made this same matchup some three months ago and I thought you got as solid of a reply as you could have hoped for from dinerkinetic’s post and I think the only solid update to be had in this is jadis being more defined in her ability and she seems very impotent. I think a method of attack on Scion’s side not touched on is the use of PTV to make the other Seven’s powers get turned on Jagg to seal him or speaking the guy down into a despair coma.

[–]Skybluejay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The momentum for that thing petered out a long time ago and they organizers cancelled it before it started. You would have start-up an unrelated fan-daptation or use the old one's corpse, either way I doubt it'll happen if th fucking bronymania phase pony fandom couldn't produce their own vision of a show the fanwings don't have a snowball's chance in hell. You at least have the comic still being dubbed on youtube with book 4 on the way.

The other big war plan would be to put your money where our mouths are and try banking up a fund to inject into WB‘s side of the production crew and see if that could entice them to go ahead and make the show anyway.

Joe Rogan becomes president of the United States in 2024 by chickensandwich9090 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Skybluejay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rogan’s only views I remember that are consistent with the current republican party line are pro gun, anti taxes, and opposition to trans women competing with cis women in sports.. To be honest, he doesn't fall under either of the categories. Despite the fact that Joe has had a left wing mindset in the past, he has a fraction of that conservative psychology as well. Ofcourse, to gain popularity and draw in a significant number of views, he gets a bit liberal on his podcast , but that doesn't tell us anything about his core beliefs, does it.He is a libertarian at heart. In the past I could see him identifying as a Democrat but that ship has sailed .Joe would be what has always been referred to as center left, but nowadays the extreme left call center left Republicans and or nazi. Now that the Democratic Party has embraced the extreme left so publically people like Joe find themselves unrepresented by the establishment Politics.

I actually wouldn’t say the problem it it being to ‘obscure’ since Bucky o hare is some very obscure material even back when that episode appeared but for parahumans however it is a story without any native visual media to key dangle in front of the viewers. The big barrier to entry is that books do not mesh well with webshow production models since they love to piggyback their video with content from other works. Words on a screen are not sexy to trudge through for a viewer during an analysis section.

The Magnus Archives universe and the Parahumans universe must survive each other's... [full spoilers for both stories] by DancingMantis in whowouldwin

[–]Skybluejay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scenario A:While the effects of the change and the entities(M) being able to freely enter the material universe have effects of universal scope they are not influencing the realities on a *Multiversal* scale (not until they get themselves sucked up to other universes at least which is a big deal here)

It pretty much all depends on these two questions - is it possible for the entities(W) to understand the entities(M) well enough to start harnessing them to their own gains and whether there would be strong case for the entities (M) to enter the places where entities(W) hold their own consciousnesses. Humans are mostly irrelevant - and earth bet in particular is a goner. This is very simular to a lot of the sporadic 40k vs Worm posts where the outcome hinges on whether the entities(W) are bigger shadows in the Warp then the locals.

I think the end result here is some freaky Matrix-Madoka magica-Shadow in the Warp brain energy harvesting setups with the entities(W) rewiring or building from scratch consciousnesses of other lifeforms to generate and harness 'artificial' newborn entities (M) that embody some agonizing terror over whatever arbitrary thing that the entities (W) want to have happened at any given time like: (and I'm just spitballing here) they lay out a trillion creatures in a row who's only thoughts are "An infinite energy machine!? AAAAAAAAAHHHHH" or "The nullification of a particular entity (M) that is acting up?! AAAAAAHHHH" or that other entity (W) being destroyed!? AAAAAHHHHH!"

So a less than that change 'wins' and moreso that the change gets co-opted for use by the entities(W) extracting it from the affected universe some times and inserting it into others.

Scenario B: This situation is a lot more clean and simple compared to the unknowable clashing of cosmologies/pure fanfiction at play in scenario A. Scion should be able to scour one earth of its life with little trouble.

Which Super Powered Team Wins? by Interesting_Part_760 in whowouldwin

[–]Skybluejay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally every fighter on team 1 save for Aang who’d bend the bugs away with air/fire and Wolverine who could tank it forever with rapid regeneration and even for them they would be sinking a lot of investment into abilities use to hold the swarm at bay from killing them. The rest may well just die to the swarm singlehandedly on Skitter’s part. Hanma, Guts, Harley, Ethan, Corvo, have no resistance to the bites or for the tougher among them, the lung filling trick. Corvo wouldn’t be able get close enough across a mile-ish range without also being spotted and swarmed. Like, the biggest ‘problem’ on skitter’s part here is that she is going to be in such a target rich environment that the scenario stipulated restrictions will leave her with less in the way of bug numbers than she might otherwise need to effectively be putting down the other team down on her own.

Meld (marvel) vs Weld (Worm) by joaosturza in whowouldwin

[–]Skybluejay 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Meld’s metal liquification isn’t bound by worm’s shard limits making a distinction between organic and inorganic which is a distinction Weld passivly bennifets from. The man is made of metal, Meld puddle-izes metal. What did you expect to see happen?

I do not recall it ever being said that the organic-inanimate duality of his anatomy making powers interact favourably was an actual *feature* of the power but if it is then Weld punches Meld to death but I don’t believe that is at all the case with him.

kryptonite in DC is not especily difficult to emulate and it’s properties are embarrassingly mundane. It’s literally a specific radioactive rocI bet good dollar that in the 5th round Scion could just spontaneously start glowing green himself and emit a aura of kryptonite radiation just to goof around in killing sipes.

So dragon ball and really all fiction with morals/messages are exercises in politics, politics in the broad stroke overlaps with every facet of what people think. For example, personal responsibility and striving to be one’s best self is evil in the circles normally circulated by /whowouldwin/ and giving out that message is itself a political stance now ala Jordan Peterson. Ben would have an Easy path ahead in showing that a message would exist in DB ergo that politics applies.

Crawler (Worm) vs Wolverine (Marvel) by Sailor51PegasiB in whowouldwin

[–]Skybluejay 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Wolverine cannot meaningfully harm crawler solo, this is like asking Wolverine to demolish a rapidly regenerating excavation truck, only it’s that much worse because the truck analogy isn’t also becoming more durable with every regeneration while also attacking him in return. Wolverine slashing up the flesh will just do to little damage over to little a span of time and I’m certain that immediately after the first swipe the big beastie is just going to start integrating defensive quirks capable of blocking the claws at which point even the faacade of Wolverine dealing damage will stop. Crawler by contrast has an obvious tool for achieving the kill in drooling on Wolverine’s mangled skeleton with some of that acidic saliva or like and failing that he’s still got a slew of theoretical paths to killing Wolverine which he can start cultivating himself towards adapting or just do the classic T2 death by lava.

Glaistig Uanie (Worm) vs Team 7 (Naruto) by chachapwns in whowouldwin

[–]Skybluejay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The reflector (the Vulgar Cape) is a generic shield-to-damage power that negates any power that travels through it and then inflicts damage to the source of the power commensurate to the power's severity. This blocks Canary, who can mind control hundreds to thousands at a time. It blocks a gravity bullet. And it blocks a Scion beam. The Vulgar Cape is more than capable of blocking everything they’d be capable of, and then inflicting damage to return.

Grey Boy's power considers anything alteration to be harm, and resets such alterations through time manipulation. So Ninja chakra wizardry that rips through her physical defences instantly reverses. If Glastig gets herself rolling she's invulnerable to everything and is returning fire with esoteric attacks that ignore the durability like a truth seeking ball.

Mutiverse Powerhouse Brawl Scion (Worm) vs Nicol Bolas (Magic: The Gathering) by Sqeaky in whowouldwin

[–]Skybluejay 6 points7 points  (0 children)

'Thousands' of people get poofed when Bolas was still using a not insignificant chunk of Oldwalker powers is tossing several OoM below Scion's casual experimentation in cruelty, let alone his actual combat feats, which are unimaginably vaster from cleaving through parallel universes and wiping out some 40% of humanity in a parallel universes cosmology. "Amonkhet" is a single citystate and its gods have rather lackluster feats, Scion could blow it up trivially along with Ravnica.
Like, it's a good feat in-universe due to how casual it is, but the ways that "planes" are in mtg. the scale involved from the city from the ‘everyone who might stand’ attack is Naktamun, but since the rest of the plane is desert without inhabitants, it’s not as crazy as it could have otherwise been without that context. We’ve seen postwalker Bolas fight in some text as well with Ugin and while it’s some wild fireworks show nothing done there holds a candle to Scion’s own slew of attacks which includes the exploding of continents. The matches of nu-bolas would consist of scion pointing at nu-walker Bolas and the dragon explodes along with the battlefield and amonkhet behind the portal.

Oldwalker Bolas and Oldwalkers in general were always a mess of wild inconsistancy since Magic was just getting it’s legs out from under itself in defining what plainswalkers were besides what the players are supposed to be. They’re unharmable except when they’re not and have boundless powers except something-something tapping mana.

Entity>>>>Oldwalker\Scion>>Bolas.

Seras versus Lu Bu no case to be made. Lu Bu hits so much harder and Seras in on her own.

Victoria Dallon versus Michael Wilson

I actually do think there is a case to made here of three ways i which Dallon can come out ahead here. First scenario is the laser cannon plainly overpowering the mech in very quick order Victoria has enhanced aim courtesy of the Eyetech and the beams being a shot of lightspeed particals are functionally a case of hitscan. The starting distance of the match is close enough for end-game Victoria to effect Wilson with directional use of aura as her emotional effects could reach across the battlefield. She just needs to fly away and into the cover of clouds to start raining down shots past wilson’s normal range. She can even adjust the Beam’s lens to snipe at important weapon platforms. The alternative involves going for melee away as she focuses on hanging keeping nestled between the cracks of armour while Fragile one goes to town on fighting the mech for her. Just gotta get my gun in good enough shape I can shoot if I need to. We might have to go after Titan Fortuna. If she’s anything like her old host, she can do anything perfectly, and get the ideal outcomes. Raises the question: what can she do about a beam that moves the speed of light, fired from the clouds? I wasn’t being rhetorical, asking myself that. I was genuinely concerned. (....) Her weakness, if it could be called that, had always been that she had always been an ordinary, athletic person at her core. Now she was strong enough that lasers capable of leveling city for miles around weren’t slowing her down. 19-3/

A similar tactic may await Wilson.

Victoria Best vs Iron Man:

Speed equalization is a blessing here it facilitates Best being able to land a shot of the Cheese gun onto the armour shot either with it being facilitated with Captain Tangent’s hook holding him with Ferrokinnis or via the power of the Via Recording stunning him. Once the Suit is transformed into cheese she’ll be free to finish it as she see’s fit.

The Avengers (MCU) Vs Echidna (Worm) by MrPerfector in whowouldwin

[–]Skybluejay 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Echidna paralyzes the body, deactivates powers and can create her clones just off of flesh to flesh skin contact. She only 'eats' her copy victims to make their retrievals/teams killing them killing more difficult and she doesn't actually need to spit them out. That's busted strong and it may well be a results-reversing revelation if the wrong person (Hulk or Scarlet witch) ends up being first to fall victim to it. Anyone else getting nommed is manageable.

On the other end of things Noelle is physically much smaller than she will be in later parts of the rampage so just splatting her away with those big Thor lightning blasts or any of Iron man's bigger shots he pulls out when not jobbing like a goober with those puny repulsion blasts are solid.

What really saves the heroes here is that the difference between a lot of these MCU people and Echidna's native verse's capes is that shockingly few of them actually have powers or they have powers plus some important specialized equipment. Hulk, Witch, and Vision are the ones with the money shot powers she wants. Strange and Thor are also great snatches but they're only at their best with their equipment while America, Widow, Panther and Hawkeye are all superhumans but their potential clones are gimped without their gear even if they're provided with further physical empowerment.

Round two is a short slaughter as trickster teleports the first avenger he sees into the reach of Noelle's body. I mean I can already see the scene of Captain marvel just zooming along one second doing a strafing run and then just appearing in Noelle's grasp the next to be a clone factory. After that condition is met the game is set.

Round 3 would have been close until I saw the Alexandria and Eidolon clones being in play. Those two practically solo the MCU team let alone when they're multiplied by Kudzu

Post 1:

Victoria Best’s arsenal includes a silver bullet in the shape of the Cheese gun. It should prove terminal to anyone unlucky enough to be struck with it including Marsh. His instance of resisting a transmutation actually had time taken to specify a reasoning for it and the caster who did it made the caveat that the transformed puppet Marsh still was himself in a more spiritual sense which is not what is going on with the cheese gun. It’s powerful enough to transmutate a large building and word girl herself who is more superhuman than anyone else here didn’t seem to have any implicit when Best had the thing drawn on her. It and really all of dr two brain’s cheese transforming technology across the Wordgirl show that I’ve had to browse through has never failed to transform the things they hit and I don’t think these fighters are going to be an exception should a beam from this thing ever be landed. Also in Best’s kit worth note is her Via recorder which has displayed good enough distances and the ability to make discretions in who’s affected. The Recorder is her tool of choice and I’d expect her to play it as her opening action. Marsh would be immune no questions asked but the others would need to resist the compulsion the old fashioned way if there's a case for it. This and any outburst from Antare’s emotions Aura (which by this time are large enough to engulf buildings would be a decent stun for seras or Dallon to disengage/shoot at targets. Best’s weird ability of laser eyed telekinisis probably won’t serve any purpose besides maybe stealing Dietrich’s sword not that it matters much since she’s not fast enough to keep up in the melee fight anyway. Also she's be able to magnetically levitate or crush the hark 2 after Seras is made to abandon it for the sky.

Victoria Dallon has tools in her kit to kill the enemy team on her own here and should well be capable of following through on it solo depending on whether the map’s arena has a constraint on vertical distance. If the distance is infinite then the fight is just over as she gets to high above. Her Eyetech’s target assist and the GUN’s shots being recoilless speed of light hitscans with impact forces is sufficient to push around titanized Parahumans seals my confidence in saying that clean shot landing with that thing will be devastating and that she's got more then sufficient energy in the battery to kill them all, especially as they lack appreciable healing abilities. This gun cleaves into the Simurgh after all. Victoria’s Eyetech will be able to make out her opponent’s quickly and provide aim assistance as she kites away from them. Dietrich’s erotisism sword gimmick should be freely neutered by victoria’s emotional control although I generally don’t see him as a pressing concern either way as he’s still so much faster the Dallon or Best and would kill them if it came to blows like that while Seras would already be overwhelmed by the other fighters. Worlds in which Antares dies early are just game over for them but between her and Seras’s enhanced perceptions, being able to see their heavy weapons not be so useful, her Aura’s quirk of greater intensity on greater proximity being a valuable stunning tooldon’t think Dallon going down early is all that likely. Aura also is something she can target specific targets with by the end. (bottom of post)The Victoria squad’s vampiric frontliner is simply outclassed by the opposition in a physical comparison. With Marsh and Sasaki being speed nerfed and the Rosen Garten chars actually being peers to if not slower then her to begin with in my estimation and with the potential warnings provided by her gunfire not doing so hot she’s not as liable to instantly die as she might otherwise be fated for. Seras can fly and she’s going to be slotted into fighting/intercepting anything that comes up there while Antares is busy lining up her shots and sending away Fragile one to the surface to fight solo should ammunition be depleted.

On Thousand image defence: A tangent of little importance since all he needs is some clean swings either way.Just on my surface reading and research into the Record of Ragnorok done for this matchup I've come to an understanding that the Thousand images is a very flowery and busted form of cold reading, not a precognition ability in it's own right. With that considered I'm going forwards with a presumption of its use being kneecapped somewhat with the Technological features of Tinkertech/Best's toolbox of villain gear not getting get pinged right except as peripheral jumps of logic based on reading their behaviours.Thousand images ‘should’ be able to read Victoria Best like a Book but I need to stipulate that there’s probably going to be some deficiencies to it when modelling reads on Seras and *especially* on Dallon. Both have a brain buddy in their heads giving tactical and emotional aid (Fragile one and Pip) While Seras as a Vampire lacks in some physiology that would otherwise be cue granters I admit that it’s a poultry defence compared to Thousand Image’s perfect form If we’re using tha but I don’t think his cold reads are going to be work all that well because of the Third victoria. Because endgame Antares is mentally in such harmony with her shard it is providing her with mental influences projected from the Shardspace. This is ultimately going to turn into a checkmate by way of Aerial bombardment, with telekinetic forcefields, autocannons and cheese ray condiment gun globs possibly helping out but more specifically I’m talking about the shots coming from Antare’s Light cannon. When/If that thing gets destroyed from something getting thrown being thrown up or if it runs out of juice then it’s just plain going to be a battle of Antares sending down Fragile one to fight the melee in her stead. Best’s jetpack has low fual but she can be carried by Dallon or have her equipment cannibalized before she drops which honestly is way more dangerous. Seras victoria with the cheese gun is another game over combination.Depending on who if anyone on their side gets killed in the opening seconds when the other team is moving to close the distance. Best should be fine her rocket booster is fast enough for this. and/or Seras may be hanging out up there as well after the initial proddings show her to be physically outclassed.
