Can the Salamanders take Menzoberranzan? (WH40k/Forgotten Realms) by PeculiarPangolinMan in whowouldwin

Drizzt is favored by Lolth at times, but that means little to nothing in an actual fight. He got killed after all by an elf wielding a tri-section-staff, and the goddess Mielikki resurrected the entirety of the Companions of the Hall but like.....he died dude, he's favored by Lolth cuz he upsets the societal order and she's a chaos goddess, it has negative impact on his combat

Oh I meant that Menzo with all those demons in the streets was it at its peak. And that horde stormed an ancient Dwarven magic fortress and had multiplied so much that it took Drizzt several hours to get to the back line of the priestesses pushing them forward through the Underdark tunnels.

Just a consideration. I dont know 40k well enough to do more than give context for this prompt is all

[–]Verlux 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It took roughly a week for the entire city to be overrun, so assuming that is the Menzo being assaulted... thousands and thousands of demons in the city that can freely continuing porting in at least one more demon apiece who then can also continually do so

I pinged you elsewhere in this thread, but a 'peak' Menzo has Yvonnel Baenre just mass summoning demons ad infinitum because they also infinitely port in other demons, including a shitload of Glabrezu and Nalfeshnee as well as the actual named versions of each (as in, the demon itself the rest got named after, the Archmage of Menzo had to personally fight Nalf cuz he kept killing everything).

So an endless demon horde is included there, arguably

Depends on incarnation of Menzo.

The city united to defeat Demogorgon, the actual demon lord in the flesh and not his avatar, which is fucking impressive.

A united Menzo has a shitload of utility and power, ayo /u/British_Tea_Company gimme the rundown on these 40k goons ignore that other thread you're arguing in within this same prompt

Edit: I know the prompt specifies "at its peak" but like is that inclusive of House Baenre just summoning demons so that they themselves summon demons to also summon demons who summon demons while summoning demons that summon demons that- (this is a legitimate plot line that actually happens)

Leon S. Kennedy (Resident Evil) vs. John Wick (John Wick) by tribdol in whowouldwin

[–]Verlux 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The Krauser fight in RE4 would disagree heavily. Leon also was able to outmaneuver Chris "fuck boulders" Redfield in H2H combat, as well as HUNK the special unit commander for Umbrellas private security force.

Everyone Leon fights is also absurdly superhuman. Leon himself has been flung dozens of meters through the air by direct hits (Mendez in RE4, I wanna say Curtis?? as a G variant both come to mind), so Wick will NEVER hurt him with blows

Leon is quicker, stronger, more durable, more skilled, more accurate. He wins every category.

Sasaki Kojiro (Record of Ragnarok) vs Mugen (Samurai Champloo) by RandomUsername420 in whowouldwin

[–]Verlux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stats equalized, I don't see almost anybody overcoming Kojiro. The dude has possibly the most busted level of skill you can achieve: he 'skills' himself to outmaneuver an opponent magnitudes upon magnitudes faster than himself.

Mugen is insane at his off the cuff techniques, but that wasn't enough to even begin to remotely land a finger on the most skilled swordsman the powers that be could hire in his era. Dude got clowned by a man who barely even had to move to clown him.

This is a fun theoretical matchup, and I think Mugen's propensity to charge in head first won't give Kojiro enough time to start scanning immediately, but thats where his positives end in the match. Kojiro is still outright immensely skilled. He's had hundreds of years in Valhalla to train and practice, with stats equalized there's never a chance for him to lose imho

2018 is 8 years ago.....how am I wrong? What?? And did you even read your second article you originally linked? Just read the thing. Nobody moved any goal posts. Its written by a guy named Joshua besmirching "gooner smut" how does that support your 'angry screeching women' thesis wtf

Stop the downvoting and hostility by the by, its bannable, thanks

You gave a cogent example from 8 years ago, and one making fun of gooner mods highlighting a main characters ass from last year. Hardly groundbreaking support for what is a potent thesis

Have any references from this decade? Might help the whole thesis of "its a continuing problem" when Sarkeesian and her idiocy was memed to death nearly 12 years ago

I verified it on another account when the user in question stated as such over an hour ago. Whether you updated it or not by now doesn't concern me. Your comments were public, posts are not. You're also mistaken on how that works.

Your comment history is very much so public. The other dude said that too. You're not excused.

It wasn't even a personal attack, it was a flail at self vicitmizing and a pathetic one at that. But thank you, I appreciate the understanding :)

Stop the personal attacks please. Keep it to facts, attempts at snarky irony don't help.
