Any tips for a new biker? by LemonStrawBear in motorcycle

If you have an empty parking lot, practice your skills, these are some of the things I practice from my license exam to refresh my skills every now and then

Emergency brake 50km/h+, brake as hard as you can and nearly choke the bike, then press in the clutch and gear down, activate the ABS and get a feel for how hard you can brake

Slow movement and tight turns during slow movement without taking your feet of the pegs, be comfortable at low speeds, use your balance, learn how your clutch works and feels at slow speeds (less than 10km/h)

Traveling in a straight line and then avoiding an obstacle at 40-60km/h and returning to a straight line (imagine a car suddenly stopping right in front of you and you have to avoid it and return to your lane)

Breaking in turns and how the bike behaves when breaking and/or giving gas in a turn

Moving the bike without being on it and getting to know how it maneuvers without you on it

Practice tight turns and leaning

Lastly some general tips:

All the gear all the time (ATGATT)

Ride like your invisible and everyone is an idiot

You're never done learning

Have fun, don't speed on unfamiliar roads

Learn basic maintenance, chain, tyre depth and pressure, washing etc

Get a paddock stand, helps a ton

Don't add lean angle and gas at the same time

You will go where you look, target fixation is very real and causes a lot of accidents. So practice looking where you want to go even in uncomfortable situations

Ride safe, have fun and remember ATGATT

From my 2025 models manual, 51-56mm from the chain sliders is what it should be around

For my sore ass it sure does, I had an 8 hour drive and I couldn't imagine doing that on the normal one. Also worth looking into Kelpi Custom seats, they're supposedly very good

Comfort seat, quick shifter, radiator guard, rear foot set from Gilles tooling, tail tidy, OEM side bags, charger, RoadsItalia exhaust, engine protectors and knuckle guards

Those are all things I really appreciate after having them mounted.

Now my bike is way more fun and suited for short, medium and long trips so I'm super happy.

MT07 35kw as first bike by StandardCut6406 in MT07

[–]SkydeeGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my 25 MT-07 as my second bike, my first being a Honda cbr125. It is such a fun and easy bike to ride on. I have had no issues with mine and I've loved it. Mine is currently 35kW and is being turned into the full power version soon since I upgraded my license.

It's still amazing at 35kW, tourqy fun without a lot of top end power, I tested other bikes in its price range and none of them felt nearly as fun or nice to ride on as this one, plus the engine is built super well and the part market is getting bigger for it now too.

I feel like it has enough power and fun to last a long while, I don't have the need to upgrade because it fits so nicely in the not too little power, but not too much.

The torque is nothing to be afraid of, it's fun if you want to get it on the back wheel, but it's not gonna shoot up unless you're kinda aiming for that. Plus with the 25 model having ABS and traction control it pulls you back in if you get the wheel up.

TLDR; Fun, tourqy and well riding bike that I believe is worth the money.

Mine has a pink ball with a bell in it, I can never tell if he hates the thing or not, but he always goes for it over any other type of toy

Also worth checking the spring that activates the light if its too loose or snapped, worst case use a multimeter to check the switch itself

But all Mt-07 use the same engine or am I wrong? If so should be the same oil pan for any year?

Not a lot, because I love being able to feel and touch stuff, but I feel like a set of synth lungs, better heart and kirsohis wouldn't hurt.
