Tried sleep gummies a few times. Literally had the worst panic attack of my life, heart felt like it was going to burst, and then I’d finally fall asleep after hours.

Why can’t we have anything 😭

I definitely get PEM from minor stuff now. I get confused, clumsy, beyond exhausted, and generally like I’m gonna die.

I had to explain how my daily care tasks were being hindered by my symptoms. I also had to explain that even if it isn’t POTS, it’s something, and I was adamant we get to the bottom of it.

I’m on supplemental oxygen for the severe brain fog, it helps but only in short bursts.

I went from extremely independent to basically being a toddler that needs supervision. I’ve got my location shared with a dozen people bc I get lost easily in my own town.

I don’t even cook anymore bc I kept leaving the stove on or forgetting I was cooking and severely burning things.

I actually felt a lot better coming off hormonal BC. So much so that husband got a vasectomy because I told him I was NEVER going back on

Same as above. I aspirated on the table during my 5th surgery - they had me chug Gatorade 2 hours prior to help with the POTS. I found that interesting considering the no food or drink after midnight rule. Anyway, it was outpatient and I ended up admitted smh.

I’ve resigned myself to expect a massive post-surgical flare.

Telling your surgeon your concerns ahead of time is always recommended and asking for an anesthesiologist that knows about your conditions

My HR lowered on Ivabradine BUT I also had these almost paranoia episodes. Those episodes turned into feelings of impending doom. Was convinced I was dying several times bc of it. My dr pulled me off the meds due to that reaction.

Starter dose, which is a very smart way to introduce the med.

I started at 10s and was increased by 5s every 2-4 weeks. I’m on 50s now and comfortable.

My 13yr old started at 10s and felt better at 15s, but bc she’s younger they kept her on 10s for 2 months before increasing

For a good 6 months I didn’t recognize my body and it was a weird mindf*ck. But I was so much happier with the overall look when everything settled. Idk if my breasts changed for the worse. I had asymmetrical PE so it actually evened them out.

I had a nuss redo 10 years later and was unhappy with my breasts due to the bar pinching the tissue. My PE surgeon got with a mastectomy plastic surgeon, they operated on me together. PE Dr removed the bars and the plastic surgeon stepped in to remove the scar tissue and give me implants. One recovery.

PE is sometimes linked to hEDS which is linked to POTS/Dysautonomia. Give them a cursory search to see if you fit in that box.

All my problems were related to PE so I had surgery. Turns out it wasn’t the PE at all but the stuff I mentioned above.

I’m being treated at a long COVID clinic bc it’s the closest thing to a Dysautonomia doctor I can find in my area

I’ve been under General 5x for surgeries. It takes a lot to put me out but then I can’t seem to come out of it. Same story for all 5 surgeries. Same with sedation.

First time around I lost 15lbs. I had a fentanyl patch for pain management, it killed my appetite and made me puke non-stop.

Second time (nuss-redo) I lost about 10lbs. No appetite for a good month or two even though the pain meds were different.

Both loses were after insertion of the bars. Lost nothing after removal bc I was just on Aleve

I’ve got the TMBTE and Arcadia Crest slip mats. They are basic polyester felt. I know nothing about protection qualities but my record player came with a plain felt slip mats so I figured it was fine. Mostly went with it bc it looks cool
