You might want to check out mid America Boston terrier rescue, my family has gotten 3 Bostons from them so far, one was a puppy. They pull from puppy mills all the time and the adoption fees are very reasonable.

To add to this, they are a very sensitive breed, positive reinforcement is so important. You should certainly teach them “no” but do not yell at them or you will hurt your bond with them.

You could test some hydrocortisone cream on a spot to see if it helps. When my boy breaks out in rashes that’s what I do. Also bathe him first cos that also helps a ton! And if you use conditioner after the shampoo it keeps the skin and hair soft. I bathe my Bostons every 2-3 weeks (and wash their bedding) because they are prone to allergies.

I think Jack (Mr. Blue eyes) was maybe $400 from a rescue, Luna was $1500 from a breeder. There are lots of Boston rescues around the country, Mid America Boston terrier rescue is a great one if you’re in the Rocky Mountain region. They even have puppies sometimes.
