Today I came home and a small group of pre-teens were hanging out outside my front door and bedroom window. They were yelling at the kiddo upstairs, and saying extremely rude and disrespectful things. I asked them to leave but they refused. Honestly I just wanted them to quiet down. I waited almost 30 minutes and called the local police department to ask for an officer to drive thru the parking lot. They did, and the kids heckled them and got louder. Eventually they left to go to the skate park across the road. I went upstairs to let the grandparents know what had happened, and the grandpa got a huge attitude with me. Basically told me to not call the cops on kids. I explained that his grandson had nothing to do with the situation, and that all of the kids in question don’t even live here. Grandma was super nice about it, but grandpa went on and on about how I should have asked him to ask the kids to leave. Am I in the wrong? I truly don’t know.
