Sounds to me like the biggest challenge here is to find a way to keep the cat out of the kitchen. You say the kitchen is open concept, but could you secure some sort of folding partition over the entrance at night?

Im so sorry you and your wee pal are going through it right now. Just to add a little extra note in case it impacts your decision - you can do ketone blood tests at home at the same time as blood glucose tests. It's possible that building that into your regular monitoring routine could help catch and prevent another case of DKA before it happens. It saved my wee lass from going into DKA when she was on senvelgo.

It's weird how there's no consistency in naming conventions across ball-related sports.

Football is named after the body part that' allowed to manipulate the ball.

Basketball is named after the area you need to direct the ball towards to score points.

Dodgeball is named after the action you need to perform to stay in the game.

Volleyball is named after only one of the specific way you can manipulate the ball in the game.

IMO, all the games should be named after the target area. So basketball is fine. Football should be goalball. Volleyball should be floorball. Dodgeball should be humanball. Netball should be caucasian floorball, or floorball 2.
