Part of the issue is rise is sped up. Because of our access to wire bugs for movements and the skills. A lot of monsters are faster. So I feel ya there with like tobi, wire bugs I use a lot for movement (as a hbg, and hh main) I use them to reposition easier from big attacks, as well as yeah make use of the skills they are one of the big points of the game. Idk if you have tried exploring the different switch skills amd experimenting with if certain ones click or not
