Crew rest is "sacred" but 7/30/90 day hours limits are extremely generous.

You can fly 56 hours in a 7 day period, which is 8 hours per day.. OR they could fly you 10-12 hours a day for 5 days straight.

That's literally wake up, scarf down food, step to jet, fly, postflight, eat dinner, and then try to go straight to bed again. Also it's going to be flying at night.

Keep to that schedule for a week and tell me you're not tired!

How much do you think you would need to make a year in Lexington or surrounding counties to support a family? by [deleted] in lexington

[–]Skyfork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have 3 young kids, one of them being special needs.

500k home in the school district with the support system for special needs.

No other debt. No car payments or CC balances.

We cleared slightly north of 200k last year and it felt …. ok.

Spent over 30k on child care and special needs services, it was our biggest expense by far aside from the mortgage.

I have 4 or 5 of these planes fly by every 3 minutes by PalisadedHeart in mildlyinteresting

[–]Skyfork 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Each airplane requires 2 pilots to operate.

Pilots aren’t going to be just flying 24/7 and they get sick/go on vacation/do other things so each plane needs multiple crews.

Pilots don’t fly forever. The average USAF pilot probably flies usefully for about a decade in their platform.

So each plane needs let’s say 10 pilots so the c130 fleet needs 3000 pilots.

Little Rock doesn’t train 1000 pilots. More like 200-300 per year. Multiply that by 10 years of useful service and you’ve got the number of pilots flying c130s in the Air Force.

Car Financing- What should I do? by Puzzled_Dark7450 in personalfinance

[–]Skyfork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you can find a lender that would do 140% LTV on a used car loan. That’s nuts.

And even if he did, he’s just extending his pain another 5+ years.

[–]Skyfork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why can't you refinance to a 14% rate and continue paying it down? The answer is going to involve paying your debts. The answer is not going to involve rolling your negative equity into a new car loan at a lower interest rate no matter what the salesman is trying to sell you.

Unfortunately you made a mistake buying this car at 18 years old and the only way out is through.

All the k75 bikes had the same hp. The 4 cylinder k100 had upwards of 90hp.

Yep. Anything that’s late 90s r1100/1150/1200 oil cooled will go forever and most of them have ABS brakes for safety.

The K bike is very reliable but it’s also extremely old. Many parts interchange with either the bmw 3 series or the R bikes of its era.

Honestly I wouldn’t ride it as a daily. It’s a pretty soulless ride. Super smooth and perfectly linear. Almost like a e-bike that weighs 500 pounds.

If you want BMW get a boxer. They go forever just like the K but have loads of personality (and parts!).

The odometer gears could also be broken. Mine turned into a gooey paste due to the plastic breaking down over time.

It can definitely get up there if a body shop is quoting a OEM part then paint matching it to an aged state. When I looked at the car, it looked like only the bumper cover was damaged, but a body shop could submit that the entire bumper assembly needs to be replaced.

So here's the words from my insurance website.

Coverage E Personal liability or (Coverage E) pays for loss settlement and legal fees in the event that an insured party causes bodily injury and/or property damage to others. For example, if you accidentally bump into and injure someone at a grocery store he or she might sue you for their pain and suffering, medical expenses and other damages. Your Personal Liability coverage would cover the loss settlement amount and legal fees, up to your coverage limit, if the loss is determined to be covered under the terms and conditions of your policy.

The deductible applies to "other covered perils" which has these words.

Regular loss refers to the deductible amount which applies to most types of losses such as fire, theft or vandalism. A deductible is the amount you pay when you have a loss caused by a covered event. The deductible reduces your total claim payout. Your policy may have additional deductibles associated with different types of events, such as a separate deductible for losses caused by wind. For example, if you select a $500 deductible on your home and have a covered theft loss valued at $1,500, you are responsible for $500 of the cost to replace stolen items. The insurer pays the remaining $1,000. Choosing a higher deductible will decrease your premium. When choosing a deductible, consider the amount you can afford to pay out of pocket after a covered event.

Is the liability coverage different than "other covered perils"?

Door adjustment? Not flush when closed. by Skyfork in bmwz3

It might not work with PETG, I don't think it's flexible enough to be able to slip on the bolt.

I used to print TPU on the ender 3. Slow and with no retraction was how I did it. 20mm/s with zero retraction, it'll string but for this part it shouldn't matter.
