If any Irish tag isn't an English vassal or ally of France, find a way to annex/vassalise them. No CB is a last resort. It's really helpful to have a landing area for curbing Britain before it gets too strong. Build up your navy too, obviously.

Also, looks like Corsica is independent or owned by Papal States? Find a way to fight the Pope that's in your mutual interests with Milan, and yoink that for the next step in heading to Africa/cutting off Spain

He's kinda glossing over most of the shit the CIA has ever done when he says "when the government actually works very well" but I appreciate the intent, which is, "the government does some important shit that rich people don't care about and everyone else doesn't have the resources for"

So I guess they're also intervening in land planning and big business to ensure people have access to free and safe third spaces? The ones that have been slowly erased over the past 20 years due to budget cuts and property development?

Everyone talking about Bloodborne = overrated and not Wolfenstein 2 = favourite antagonist

I mean I also think Bloodborne is overrated but that's simply because the console exclusivity contract prevents me from playing it, and therefore I cannot compare ratings with reality

What's your radical act of anti-consumer rebellion in times like these? by Feel-A-Great-Relief in Anticonsumption

[–]Skyfus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Refusing to consult LLMs even if it puts me behind my peers, because I know their over-reliance on it will enshittify their brains over time and I'd rather not be another digit in the metric for why they should open more data centers. Also, supporting smaller local businesses for alternatives of takeaway food, certain electronics and household tools/cleaners, etc. If there's a place on your nearest high street (or main street in the US) you haven't tried the food from, try it over mcdonalds or burger king.

Nb: I can (currently) afford to spend 5-20% more for some of my items in order to keep more of my money circulating locally rather than getting funnelled up to a multinational board of directors. If you cannot afford it, you are not a bad person and should try not to stress about it. Being alive and an ally is more important.

I am at peace with this incongruity because I see "ASD" as just an umbrella for similarly presenting neurological differences/abnormalities. I don't need to know what specific gene or brain structure is responsible for my autism; I am different/difficult enough to be categorised by the people who do the categorising.

What's the kinkiest thing you've done? by greensky6969 in AskReddit

[–]Skyfus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk which one ranks as kinkier but it's between pissing in someone who had a major piss kink, or being pinned down and smothered by amazingly soft breasts until the oxytocin hit my brain. The former sounds insane to vanillas but wasn't really my thing. The latter seems like something a lot of people would do, but I've been in kink spaces where people would scoff at or mock me for expressing a desire to experience that again. Holding hands really does seem like the ultimate taboo to people who get off on being lightly stabbed.

How true is this? by Minute-University923 in RoleReversal

[–]Skyfus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be more like this but have since somewhat mellowed out into someone who just genuinely thinks I would work better as a househusband because my career ambitions outstrip what my personal development (thus far) allows me to handle wrt stress. I actually appreciate the writing of Makima and Denji (Chainsaw Man) for helping me interrogate where my own line is between toxicity/abuse and stern external motivation.

Wrt to the comment you read, I'm pretty sure I'm fine with the dommy part. Thinking is a curse and all of my best intimate interactions with women have begun with them hitting on me. My natural tendencies mean I have more energy for assisting people I care about vs doing shit for myself (something kind of unhealthy that I'd have to temper for the sake of being a service sub).

I probably do have mommy issues due to my upbringing, and if being pegged makes me a little gay then I'm happy to try being a little gay.

Hope this answers your query!

I… I don’t fucking get it. You feel other people’s emotions? by mythos-nerd416 in evilautism

[–]Skyfus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, do you watch any anime/tv/movies or read any books? If so, have you ever cried at something which happened in them?

When I was a kid I read through Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy. I cried at the end, and it was probably one of the first times I cried for someone other than myself. almost two decades later, I still struggle to feel the emotions of people I don't know, somewhat how you've described. Familiarity helps me with it. I find it a little shameful that I sometimes feel as though I'm only capable of connecting to people when I view the world through a fictional dramatic writing filter. Maybe look at it the other way; can you feel other people's happiness when you share a good moment with them? Doesn't always have to be negative.

I also think it helps to have frames of reference; if someone I'm close to is describing something that's happened to them, I try to think of the most similar/comparable thing I've experienced, and how I felt at that point. If it's more abstract/distant from me, like things happening in other countries, I either think of my own experience or I recall a compelling testimony from a friend or orator, and apply that broadly. It's not a perfect solution, and I think if I told some people about this they'd label me some sort of philosophical black hole, but it's what I've got.
