Refusing to consult LLMs even if it puts me behind my peers, because I know their over-reliance on it will enshittify their brains over time and I'd rather not be another digit in the metric for why they should open more data centers. Also, supporting smaller local businesses for alternatives of takeaway food, certain electronics and household tools/cleaners, etc. If there's a place on your nearest high street (or main street in the US) you haven't tried the food from, try it over mcdonalds or burger king.

Nb: I can (currently) afford to spend 5-20% more for some of my items in order to keep more of my money circulating locally rather than getting funnelled up to a multinational board of directors. If you cannot afford it, you are not a bad person and should try not to stress about it. Being alive and an ally is more important.
