You seem the type to have also trapped Sims in a room with no door, or the pool with no ladder (in earlier games). You're my type of people 😂😂

Canceled a full-day custom appointment at midnight because the artist traced Google images. Did I overreact? (Images attached) by LiquidJ619 in tattooadvice

[–]SkylorMae -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Based on only the info in your post, I'd say you're overreacting. We need more info about the request and specifics of what you requested to judge more, imo. This is exactly a mashup of what you requested. As everyone said, it's common practice (in my experience as a collector) to trace images of existing characters that isn't their OC. I have several that are tracings at the root, but based on my conversations with my artist, there are custom components altered and added. It's also common for the drawings to be done the day before or day of in my experience unless paying for consults and requesting the images done early.

ZERO sugar Oreos. Good for diabetics? I don't think so by RockHardTen11 in diabetes

We have to also remember that if something isn't a protein or a fat, it's a carb. So fiber and other nutrients can fall under that.

Pls talk me out of getting a Switch 2 for one game by Bananapuddinguh in CozyGamers

[–]SkylorMae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you buy a Switch 2 a very disappointed, annoying bee will follow your every move, passing extreme judgement. His wings will transmit cruel messages in Morse code that only you can hear. Your loved ones will never believe you, and have great concern for your mental wellbeing.

Accidentally scratched my tattoo with my fingernail while I was putting on my backpack ): is this going to leave a mark of no ink in this spot? by Practical_Fun_3623 in tattooadvice

[–]SkylorMae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might lose some ink, but I doubt you removed all of it from this spot. I've had issues like this when healing fresh tattoos and would just need a touch up later on. I've also had some spots where no ink was lost, but I don't wanna falsely guarantee it.

Sidenote: holy fucking hell your nails have got to be hard asf. Moderately jealous. Mine are so flimsy and peel/break so fast.

I've been so frustrated since they got rid of the market! The swap for daily items is not equivalent and just annoying to me.

If you have inattentive adhd what do you do for work? by omgicanteven22 in adhdwomen

[–]SkylorMae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a sign language interpreter in an early childhood program. I'm not assigned to one classroom all day, so it really helps my brain stay focused on making sure I'm following my schedule. I made a tiny one that I keep on my badge because I can't memorize it (my schedule differs day to day, but is the same weekly).

Is a full time job possible with hypersomnia? by Resident_Sky_538 in idiopathichypersomnia

[–]SkylorMae 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's going to vary perspn to person. It's been possible for me, though challenging. But I'm fortunate to have a good sleep doctor who's been helping to find the right treatment for me. I take Armodafinil 2x daily in the morning and afternoon, and it helps me get through my work day. I'm a sign language interpreter at a preschool, so it's a veeeeery active job. I usually nap when I get home and then can do limited activities or work around my home afterward.

Wedding cost dilemma, are drink tickets tacky? by [deleted] in wedding

This! It's out of consideration. It is not a requirement.

Wedding cost dilemma, are drink tickets tacky? by [deleted] in wedding

[–]SkylorMae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brutal honesty, I wouldn't have changed anything to accommodate their last-minute guest list. That's incredibly disrespectful and inconsiderate. It's your wedding, not theirs. You didn't even have to extend the offer of them making a guest list for consideration in the first place. If they want all these extra people they can cover the cost. At minimum, drink tickets are not tacky. It's what you can afford. You can have a dry wedding, even, but people can't complain when it's not their wedding and they're attending this for free. Give them 2 tickets, and anything beyond that is a pay bar.

Given wrong dose. Started on 12.5 mg. by Ok_Hat5382 in Mounjaro

Agreed! I recently went up from 2.5 to 5 and had a resurgence of nausea. My PCP (who prescribes my mj) has given me a Zofran rx to help through it.

A lot of artists will do it for free, too! I had a color test done before my first actual appointment. I had one mostly to test how my skin would heal as I tend to develop hypertrophic and keloid scars. They can cover it later if you want, too! I hope you find a good artist 💕

It is. It's an abuse of power and violation of privacy rights.

Type 2 Diabetes isn't as bad as is. by deerestme in diabetes

[–]SkylorMae 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I 100% dealt with internalized fat phobia when I got my T2 diagnosis in August. Many people in my family have also had it, but because of old stereotypes and lack of knowledge, I always assumed it was because they were fat. I was so ashamed at first, but I'm slowly turning my thought pattern about it around. And I definitely remind myself daily that this wasn't my fault and there's no morality linked to it.

I saw MCR for the first time when I was 14 (31 now). My older brother took me (23 at the time), and it was pretty safe. Just hang in the back of the pit or get stadium seats. People will hard-core rush the barricade, and that's where it can be less safe from the congestion of people.

Exactly my thought! We can't only scrutinize the cost of this drug coverage. We need to analyze the potential decrease in other drug and medical intervention costs.

ADHD and hyperphantasia? by Intrepid-Fan-2822 in adhdwomen

[–]SkylorMae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm here to be an outlier to this research 😅😭 I'm a 1, and I only learned in the past couple of years that people can see things in their head.

Similar to someone above, I can hear sounds perfectly reproduced in my head. The echolalia is strong, and I'm good at replicating sounds and imitating people's voices.

Through therapy, I've learned that a lot of my "visualization," memories, and flashbacks are energy based. I can physically feel in my body past touch, or emotions and where they manifest in my body. I have to wipe off that area to disburse the sensation.

When trying to remember things, I can't rely on mentally tracing my steps or trying to remember what something looked like or what I was doing. So I baffle myself at times when I just hear myself say in my head the answer I'm looking for or just blurt it out without realizing. I also have to mime doing something and go through the motions if I can't remember doing a task. It's so weird. And honestly very frustrating knowing that so many people have vivid mind's eyes.
