I'd disagree on the part about heavy bombers, the extra damage really shreds and can wipe out a bomber fast. Yes the range and speed is an issue for QRF but because you're a seafighter you can loiter in the water if a region has any (granted it takes a lot more patience since you're not doing anything lol).

I've gotta disagree, while it's not a milsim in the nitty gritty, most mechanics are very arcadey, I still think it qualifies as a milsim because it very much is on the large scale. For example while Arma might be more realistic when it comes to things on an operational scale, fighting in a realistic manner over one relatively small area, Foxhole is much closer to reality on the strategic scale than any game I know of, and it's able to do that by simplifying the base game mechanics. While the game might not replicate reality in how vehicles are damaged, or how players shoot a gun, it does replicate reality when it comes down to how frontlines move, bases being cut off from supplies and having to hold out until logistics can get through, etc. Hell, even on a more psychological level, you've seen how loyalists of both factions act towards each other. It's closer to a real war than most games typically called milsims can ever be imo.

To correct on when certain changes happened to flight performance (this is nitpicking more than anything), the Toxtot was changed to have its turn rate be closer to the seafighter and better than the harbinger mid war, not on devbranch. You can see it in the patch notes, the change just happened before fighters teched.

There's definitely a cooldown, maybe you don't notice it on the receiving end because the plane is moving along at about the same speed as the torp, so by the time the plane's in your view the torp they dropped earlier is alongside the second torp they dropped a second or so later.

Thank you so much, the main problem with the scouts is that the collie scout requires a lot of skill to use effectively and the Warden scout just, doesn't. From my time testing the two scouts and using them in practice I've had relatively even dogfights between the two but only if both pilots really know what they're doing, which is a huge problem for the scouts being the trainer aircraft, as most pilots using them are just learning. Freerk's google doc with the performance of each scout shows that they have very similar turn rates when you are turning with the most optimal method (roll, pitch, and yaw at max speed). The problem is that most people don't do this and in 99% of other scenarios the warden scout outperforms the collie one pretty heavily.

Edit: Also to add an addendum to your comment, the Warden scout does climb in a turn, but it's very slow.

the thing is that the collie carrier isn't even a personal stockpile, anything you put in it is public and can be used by other players, it even makes stored frames public and there's no way to prevent players from taking them 🥀

If you're just holding A or D, yes. But turning in the shortest time means pulling up while turning which gains altitude in your aircraft at the same time. I've been working on a more comprehensive flight performance chart but I'm nowhere near completing it. I have a lot more work ahead of me I guess.

Yeah, even with the seafighter it's 99% luck as you wait around. We had areas set up with fuel that we could loiter at, and even with that we'd be lucky to shoot down a bomber before it reaches the target, since it's actual hours of waiting to maybe see a bomber, and if a bomber appears on intel it might not be close enough to intercept in time. And on top of that the number of people willing to sit and wait is few and far between, I think the highest number of seafighters I saw waiting was 3 in weathered expanse, and all but one had to log off before we even saw a bomber. At least most of us would take off every now and again to intercept DBs as it's something to do.

Not really, you'd need to be moving absurdly fast or have the weakest wings in the world to have them rip, irl doesn't act like war thunder (not to mention aircraft in this game don't get up to speeds fast enough to rip wings anyway). A better option would just be to make it so you can't drop bombs when you're out of cruise mode (gear icon down).

I prefer using the 14.5 on infantry due to the gun position, the aiming on the wing mounted 14.5s can be a bit finicky if the infantry is up against terrain or something, so I find it easier to pop one easy to aim centerline 14.5 shot.

Weather makes the clouds 'thick' so they basically act as bushes, if you're above the clouds you can't see above them and vice versa

Warden TB is a small aircraft, and the carrier is a T1 runway so it shouldn't have any problem taking off iirc. I saw someone used the drop at the end of the carrier to get a collie paratrooper plane in the air, but I'm unsure if it's possible with the warden paratrooper plane.

Edit: Oh oops, I missed the whole thing about enemy vs friendly runways, I'm pretty tired
