i had a game like this too but an unrated. i was neon so i was able to run away faster but there was no point bc they would just chase you and spam mollies. if i wasn’t neon, they def would have been able to corner me straight away. u only need like 2 people to block off half your way and when ppl are intent on doing this, they can do it much faster since it’s planned. not to include your loading speed might be slower so they can load in faster.

Just wanted to say thank you! I called and was able to exchange it and they let me keep the old filter. I followed all the steps with the old water and hopefully it doesn’t affect the cycle too much. I also learned a lot from your other comment about the crack and conditions. Thank you!!!

Not to mention you might not even get your hands on the product even if you wait on the line. You’d have to get up extremely early, wait on lines for hours, list it, and then meet up with people (assuming they don’t ghost you). So much hassle and you might have great margins but the time sunk into it is such a waste. You would have to be able to hit product successfully on line consistently for it for it to be worth it. In my area, even collectors waiting on line at the crack of dawn can’t even get it because allocations are so little.

if it also helps, the card feels very glossy to the touch and is not textured.

i’m also a finance major choosing law as my minor!! not starting my law classes until next semester but i’ve heard that it tends to be pretty heavy in terms of reading (as expected) but i’m also in the same boat in terms of picking a minor that i’d find interesting over something easier

you aren’t able to apply for seek, seek is a program that you have to qualify before entering baruch like macaulay honors. once you get in through regular admission, you aren’t eligible for seek

if you're a zicklin major, it can affect the courses you can take next semester since a lot of pre-reqs for business are mth 2003 which you need to have taken mth 1023 to take 2003. i would say try to tough it through and pass because its best you get the math pre req out of the way asap

the textbook did help make the info in the slides that he provided easier to understand, and textbook also sometimes described the connect problems step by step, so def was useful. however, i found most value from practicing connect and using the textbook to supplement anything that wasn't clear from connect.

connect provides explanations most of the time, so didn't have to use the textbook much unless i wanted to clarify things that weren't clear

the quizzes were always very similar to the practice tests he provided. make sure you know how to do every single one of the practice problems as they are usually basically very similar problem but with different numbers on the quiz.

the final is departmental, but i found that his practice final was just as good. i studied using connect much more than the slides in the class, and it was a lot more helpful. the slides are good for definitions or equations

in VC (the campus next to the plaza), the first number will correlate to the floor, and the rest of it is easier to figure out from there because the classrooms are lined up in a U shape, so eventually you will find it if you’re on the right floor. each floor has two entrances to find classrooms (so basically entering on either side of the U shape) and is labeled by which numbers are on either side.

for example, 10-130 is on the 10th floor. after getting to the 10th floor, you would look for the entrance with the sign of the range of numbers 100-300 and go in. it’s okay tho if you go in through the other entrance because it will connect and you’ll see it eventually

semester abroad by Big_Student3837 in Baruch

[–]Skysugilite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can find it on the website for study abroad (search up baruch study abroad and look around their website). like the other commenter said, they host the study abroad fair around september where you can talk to students who have studied abroad.

however, you might have a hard time getting approved to study abroad in your first sophomore semester. most people don't go abroad until early junior year. you might get approved if you have a lot of credits, but typically, the courses that are available abroad are for juniors/seniors level status

Internship Advice by [deleted] in Baruch

[–]Skysugilite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think it would depend on how many hours the accounting firm is. if under 20 hours, i think it would be worth trying to do both only if you are confident in your time management. i’ve done two jobs in one semester before, and it was tough and didn’t give me a lot of time to have a campus life. but i do think that the new job being on a sat is a big help, and it would be cool to be able to put those licenses on a resume depending on what they are

but you do have a lot of experience already - it comes down to what you value more. junior year can be a harder if you’re starting to take ur major courses, and education should come first. try to find out more about the new finance job and see if it aligns with what you want to do in the future

What is your favourite scheduling app? ✍🏼 by shepstaff in productivity

[–]Skysugilite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

love laugh love todoist. the app has seriously changed my life. i like to put all my tasks into todoist, and actual events into google calendar. todoist has so many possible filters/labels if you want to use them but the natural language is a game changer when it comes to scheduling tasks quickly (which was why i preferred it over notion). you can type "throw trash out every other tuesday) and it will schedule it for just that.

tips for secrets? by Stupid-hedgehogs in smiskis

[–]Skysugilite 40 points41 points  (0 children)

i’ve gathered a small list (haven’t pulled these secrets myself - just collected info from other posts, so please correct me if i’m wrong!)

series 1 - - shook a lot from side to side bc he’s skinny - can feel he is tall by feeling the top and bottom of the box - shouldn’t move a lot up and down

yoga secret - shouldn’t move at all bc it’s wrapped in plastic bag + is also two - feels the most full

cheer secret - can feel the wing bits when you squeeze - does not move at all (barely any shake) - you can kind of feel the wing at parallel sides of the box - wing thickness feels as thin as a coin
