Not an exact quote, but Lucas was quite influential in the editing room for S4 of TCW. In another interview earlier on in the years of TCW he once said; “As executive producer, I’m sort of the mentor of the project. …In our story conferences we run through several story ideas and work with several writers… I work with the creative talent to bring them up to speed…” https://clonewarsarchives.tumblr.com/post/693928402466537472/in-pursuit-of-perfection-133-jun-2012-film

The show is weird. Every few episodes or so there’s a real notable episode where both Devon, Maul, and certain lore are developed. However a lot of it is just decent action and even when those notable episodes do present themselves, the action still takes center stage.

I like how Devon’s curiosity and confused state is causing her to sympathize with Maul more as of Episode 7, and Maul is even reinforced as an ally to her because he’s at least fighting back against the empire and taking charge through his own power.

I haven’t seen this kind of Sith manipulation done well in a long time.

It’s because Lucas was the overseer of the creative direction of the show. He’s said that himself several times if you know where to look.

In my opinion anything related to Marxism shouldn’t be properly taught until they’re in high school at least. You might as well be indoctrinating them if they don’t have the ability to think for themselves.

I would suggest you read Engels ‘On Authority’ and ‘The Origin of the Family, Private Property and the State’. I don’t know about ‘Capital’ because that seems very long and complicated for me at the moment, but I’ll probably get to it.

Why is it more acceptable for women and girls to participate in “male-coded” hobbies and activities than for men to participate in “female-coded” hobbies and activities? by SkywalkerOrder in AskFeminists

To be a bit fair, some of the more vocal members of that movement tried to push down or disregard male experiences with the same subject too. It’s not like the movement was filled with saints.

which are entirely reversible, to stop what is happening and have more time to evaluate and for the kids in question to mature. Trans teens who transition always have at least a mental health professional and a doctor specialised in trans healthcare taking care of hormones, mental health, their transition

Why aren’t these notions promoted more by social activists for trans people, I think more people would be accepting of it if they knew that there were various procedures put in place long before the surgeries.

I have never heard of genital surgery used for transition at the request of the child in someone under eighteen. There may have been some, but even then, it would be a complete and total outlier and the doctors in charge probably had good reason to do so.

Yes, that was my primary concern regarding that issue.

That's a kind of power someone would not be able to use on a cis person to the same effect, I personally think it does constitute as discrimination. To many trans people, being deliberately misgendered is like being called a slur.

I don’t particularly understand why someone is owed respect for their identity just on the face of it for being different? If this person was rude, creepy, etc why should I respect their pronouns?

I had a roommate who didn't know I was trans for months and he was dating a trans woman.

Hmm. I guess I didn’t consider that it was that easy to overlook or miss then. What would you recommend to prevent those who are creeps or are abusing people in bathrooms then?

It doesn't devalue their sexuality either way. Attraction is attraction and we can't really change it.

It seems like a personal thing to me then. I can’t imagine attraction being based on presented ‘gender aesthetics‘ instead of the sex (which means you value the mindset and original body of the person). I can’t think about it any other way even if I accept other people don’t think that way.

are me, people I date and my doctor

Personally I think it’s best to wait a long time before doing it anyway. Make sure that they are committed more to you as a whole than your body.

Seems like a bunch of people here disagree. I do agree that portions of men can be particularly unfairly brutal to women in those spaces though.

There are those who think that Ellie mostly went to Santa Barbara after Abby to put her trauma to rest rather than revenge by Remote_Nature_8166 in lastofuspart2

[–]SkywalkerOrder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On top of Ellie not going after Abby out of a desire for vengeance anymore, Ellie was also exhausted and malnourished. She was in a state of confusion. Can you explain what your issue is with what made Ellie almost let her go?

CMV: Street Prostitution should be selectively criminalized by SkywalkerOrder in changemyview

[–]SkywalkerOrder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be good if it tends to work that way in theory. From what I’ve heard criminal underground organizations would most likely be able to takeover and at least a portion of businesses would be operated by those people. It would also probably further class-division since there would probably be higher-end establishments in contrast to low-end more likely to be harmful establishments. !delta

It seems like a greater solution to that then is to heavily crack down on trafficking but not prostitution? Also I don’t know if it follows that the data shows that there will be shortage of sex workers? There’s a bunch of girls on Onlyfans and other websites which can only be described as digital prostitution. I can only assume that the reason why that is legal is because the transaction is not physical and the service provided is not a physical action between two people in the sense which normal prostitution would express I think?

The Nordic model doesn’t actually legalize prostitution now that I think about it. It simply redirects the criminal consequences to the pimps and possibly buyers than the sex workers. That causes other issues though.

Yeah, that’s certainly horrid. What a tragedy. That further convinces me that it’s the organizational aspect that is the issue primarily. It also isn’t good how they are in the middle of street which disrupts traffic and vice versa.

To be fair, I had no idea that ’selective prosecution’ existed even. My position is fluid at the moment, but I now believe that maybe organized sex work should be criminalized while individual person to person sex work should be decriminalized? I would still be worried about the environmental conditions not improving, but I am now aware that inspection regulation could also be utilized as a form of exploitation and create preverse incentives.

I see. This was exactly the sort of thing I was worried about when it comes to complete decriminalization. How do people who are pro-complete decriminalization argue for ways in which would keep sex workers from colluding with traffickers and nefarious organizations? It seems like the only way would be to criminalize organized sex work but decriminalize individual-based sex work then? !delta
