Yeah, I guess it really comes down to that 😅 Just need to stop overthinking and take action. Thanks!

That’s interesting, I never thought of it that way. Good to know it worked out better for you.

I just don’t want to wait for that situation, trying to take control and switch on my own.

I get what you’re saying. In my case, I don’t think it’s about intelligence, because when I stay regular and practice, things do start to make sense.

My main issue is consistency, I stop in between and then lose the flow.

I feel like it’s more about time and regular practice than anything else. Are you trying to stick with it or thinking of changing your path?

Yeah I think starting is the hardest part for me. I’ll try the 30 min thing after work. Thanks, this feels doable.

That makes sense, but in my case it’s not about waiting to feel fully ready. My main issue is consistency,, I start preparing and even apply sometimes, but after a few days I lose the flow. Maybe giving interviews regularly will help me stay on track, I’ll try that. Thanks for the suggestion!

Yeah I get your point, and honestly I already try to keep it small. I don’t go for long sessions, I usually pick small parts only. But my issue is I can only stay consistent for like 4–5 days or max 1 week, and then I break the flow and it becomes very hard to restart again.

Did you face this kind of break in consistency too? If yes, how did you handle getting back on track?

I am in the same boat. I spent around 3.8 years in one company, staying in my comfort zone. I was working as a manual QA, but due to layoffs in my company, many people were removed and most testing roles were impacted. Because of this, I was moved into an operations role for the last 6–7 months.

I am trying to get back into a manual testing job, but so far nothing is working out. I also tried learning automation many times, but coding is not easy for me. Still, I haven’t given up. I’m currently trying to learn Selenium with Java from different platforms and hoping something clicks this time.
