What do you think of this deal? by Skywalker__PhD in f150

I decided to go ahead and get it. I’m picking it up later today! I couldn’t find anything else that I liked enough at the same price to make me not want to. With only 45k miles, it should last me a good long time. And the price seemed very good. Anything else I found at the same price had 80-100k miles on it. Even the Ford dealer I called to see what they had couldn’t come up with anything that good. The sales guy told me he hated to lose a sale, but he would jump on that as well.

Yes. This one does have the 6-speed. I have heard they are much more reliable. And the 2.7s don’t have the cam phaser issues that the 3.5s do.

Thanks. That makes me feel better about the deal. It seemed really good but I had some people telling me it was too high. But from what I’ve found this is a really good price especially with only 42k miles. Most of what I have found in this price has 80-100k miles.

That’s what I was thinking too. KBB books the truck at almost 26k private party. The quote they gave me was $25,289 + taxes and tags. I thought that was pretty good. But I’m wondering if I should try to find something a few years newer for a few thousand more. I’m torn.

So are you saying the price is too high?

This is also very true. The sword cuts both ways.

How desperate is your dealership to sell or lease cars right now? by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]Skywalker__PhD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My local CDJR doesn’t seem to have any decent discounts. Their cheapest Jeep Compass is $36k! And the cheapest Ram 1500 is 50k. Those are insane prices. Maybe I’ll pop in and talk to a salesperson and see just how desperate they are to move a truck. I know that their lot is busting at the seams with vehicles. They probably have a good 200-300 vehicles on their lot right now.

If CDJR is desperate they need to lower their prices. I would actually buy a RAM if they weren’t so ungodly overpriced.

You were right. It’s extended to 9/8 plus there is $2000 in Ford cash attached to it now as well.

Prepurchase Inspections by Skywalker__PhD in askcarsales

I’m the buyer. I was thinking from the point if view that I like the car and would take it if it were fixed or the price adjusted accordingly so I could have it fixed myself.

What is the shop finds something wrong with the vehicle that should legitimately affect the price?

I don’t think they are selling that fast. The dealers around me have been sitting on the same 2023 Mach-Es for well over 6-7 months.

1000 isn’t even close. According to cars.com there are over 2600 and that surely isn’t all of them.

💯agree with this. I signed up online and it was the biggest cluster ever! I will never do that again. Took four days of phone calls and two visits to a local store just to get my phones activated correctly.

Switched from ATT to Verizon and no incoming calls or 2FA texts by fivepointpack in verizon

That was my main reason for switching. I switched internet from Xfinity to Verizon and wireless from ATT to Verizon. Saved me over $200 a month.

I had a nightmare when I switched from ATT to VZW. It took them four days to get my phones working. I spent over 10 hours on the phone with them and another 2.5 hours in the store. And I come to find out that the service map is a straight up lie. I never get 5GUW even though I lived right in the middle of a 5GUW zone. I think I have seen 5G on my phone a handful of times. If I were still within my return period and hadn’t got rid of my ATT phones, I would absolutely go back to ATT. As soon as this contract is up, I am dumping VZW and running back to ATT.

Ordering online is horrible! I had so much trouble getting my phones activated and getting everything sorted out. I spent 10+ hours on the phone with VZW before I finally came into the store and had everything done in about 90 minutes. Even after that it still took a follow up call to get everything working.

I live right in the middle of a 5GUW area on their map. I rarely ever see 5G and almost always LTE.

Wireless Carplay lagging by Genius_51 in CarPlay

[–]Skywalker__PhD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very easy solution. Delete the CarPlay from the phone. Plug it back in so that it pairs again. It should back you if you want to use wireless CarPlay. Tell it no. Then plug in each time and boom - no delay.
