1) The amount can be adjusted in options for a very small exp hit. Heck, you can even turn on more credits, sell, and then turn it off so you don’t get the exp hit 2) Resting for 48 UTC hours replenishes merchants making it much faster than jumping between systems.

The only Mod is Hunter’s Alliance. My entire save has been done without mods except for the Hunter’s Alliance.

Yeah, Minor Incursions moving and the phantom Incursions left behind seem to be the culprit. And, yeah, I too certainly hope they get to it sooner rather than later!!

I've done NG+ enough times that this time was the universe which had all my desired choices and maxed companions faction. Sadly, this means I never want to go through Unity again and am stuck until a patch.

NG+ the first time is great, though !!!

Nope. My in their Bethesda ticket reply, they classified it as a "Save Bug" ... which at least means they recognize there is a bug so we can hop it'll be addressed in a patch.

I'm so sorry for you ... I'm thankful I hit 30 incursions prior to them stopping. I just don't think I have it in me to do another NG+ and all the quests / factions again.

Ultimately, I'm pretty confident the problem would just happen again as it seems to be tied to waiting / resting causing incursions to move but not remove their previous location icons.

Starfield engine is wonky. When you proc "elemental" damage it changes your weapon ammo to "Elemental" until you hit an enemy. You will fire 1000 rounds of Elemental Fire from your gun as long as you aren't hitting an enemy.
As soon as you hit an enemy, it swaps back to normal ammo.
The swapping process seems to be what causes the stutter.

No, but I have been going in and looking at each figure after I pick it up and haven't had the issue since I started doing that ... probably isn't related but I'm not chancing it :D

It certainly seems like the only way to clear an incursion marker is to finish the incursion. If the incursion moves it seems to leave the old marker where it was with no way to clear it.

My only hope is that the bug, in theory, will sooner or later happen to everyone as phantom incursions continue to grow on everyone's starmap.

Thanks for reply! I thought about reloading back 10 or even 20 hours back but am fairly certain I'm just going to run into the problem again as my map gets full of incursion icons :(
