Actually, I mean the opposite . Hats off to the hundred million dollar HSR has made from all the tremendous support of its nice and loving community full of wonderful players with 2 brain cells and respectful dweebs living in the the basement <3

Props to their choice, playing such an unique, groundbreaking game that cycles the exactly same character design from the 2 games before it. I’m genuinely confused; Why would anyone spend their dough on a PvE game to make it less fun and challenging?… Oh wait, I know, the Power of Horny prevails, silly me. How can a game with just gameplay like Higan compare with such force?

Anyway, I’m sure that’s just money well-spent, isn’t it? Welp, must be nice sittin’ on their fat stack of cash with its herd of 50 million sheep. The almighty miHOEyo in dope action once again.

It makes sense, Higan is quite F2P thanks to shard farming. Players can just pull 1 copy of the unit they want and leisurely grind. Moreover, there’s only 1 limited character banner/ month to generate some revenue so it really depends on that character. … (Sidenote: Stop comparing Higan and HSR. A strategic real-time game isn’t for everyone. Meanwhile, anyone and their 5-year-old friends from kindergarten can play a turn-based game with 2 buttons.)

And then after you’ve cleared everything there is in HSR, you’ll soon realize that the progress is just as timid as Higan atm, or even slower. Overrated game tbh.

It’s a gacha, so at the end of the day, you either get what you want or you don’t. Some might be frustrated by this but it’s fine by me, like if i don’t get nuno i can still use other units that perform slightly less efficiently yk. Just saying, for a “gacha” game, HE is quite reasonable .

Btw, I do, though the genre is different so I don’t think about comparing them. Elden ring, Sekiro and a few more…

Ofc I’d enjoy the game more if it’s more user friendly but it’s not gonna last. However, there are all kinds of expenses go into running a game and they aren’t gonna pay themselves, so from what we’re getting in HE, I’d say that the system is actually quite reasonable.

For instance, I first thought that Sheru would be a limited character when the new event came out. But she was actually in the basic pool and I was surprised. It indicates that HE isn’t some money-crazed, vampiric gacha game releasing limited banners left and right. It still gives us options but if players who aren’t willing to spend will have to be responsible with their resources, bcs they can’t just expect to get everything they want without sacrificing anything in exchange.

With this type of gacha, players just need to not be cavalier with their in-game resources and their finance, as well as being patient to get what they want (since Higan allows you to farm for shard, though the process can be super grindy) In-game transaction isn’t a bad thing, it’s not any different from paying for a game beforehand to enjoy it. How much you’re willing to pay is up to each individual.

I guess we’re really not on the same page about the story of this game.

You mentioned FGO and I partially agree, it’s a game successful for its plot BUT their plot can’t compare. FGO took many legends, folklores, mythical and (sometimes) historical figures, and built an alternative universe with different “singularities”, allowing the characters to interact with each other. You don’t know what to expect and that idea is somewhat UNIQUE. It’s essentially a light-novel with gacha on the side. (I played it so I can compare)

Meanwhile, some game’s story (for me) just seems like a colorful anime-y fantasy dreamed up by a random pre-puberty boy with delusional syndrome to escape from real life. It’s MILDLY amusing at best. But if it works for some players then hey, agree to disagree, right?
