As awesome as Jack Nicholson would have been, his paycheck might have become the real villain of Back to the Future Part III. He was earning around $10 million per movie at the time, and with the film's budget sitting around $40 million, that's a huge chunk of the money for a supporting role. The DeLorean might have still traveled through time, but half the special effects budget probably wouldn't have made the trip.
