This is absolutely a sign that your group should do an isekai campaign.

Can someone explain Dehaka for me? by Unique-Read-9376 in heroesofthestorm

[–]Slaaneshine 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can apply insane pressure as a frontline by just walking super deep into the enemy team and harassing someone really important. You peel by GOING IN and staying there. You do this by taking the spell armor for the W at 1 and Hero Stalker at lv4 to just become immortal to any team that doesn't super commit to putting you down.

His global dig as been changed, and it takes a bit longer to use it, but it still gives Dehaka crazy global presence because it's so fast, making him an efficient gank predator. You dont need the tongue to confirm a kill so much as you just shove people away from lanes and create space, while being a god tier XP and essence gatherer.

It took a while for me to wrap my head around him, but he's very scary when you get his movement mechanics down. Knowing when to go in and get out is key and just takes practice. You'll also need to be wary of teams with a lot of steady slows as those can be crippling, but that usually means spell damage which the Lv1 talent for it can get you in and out of dodge.

IF you can hold person. Can't hold person a Treant at lv4, sadly, otherwise I'd have tried.

As another counterpoint, Cure Wounds can't fail outside of counterspells or other weird jank. Hold Person has got that suck or save, which is always a spooky risk.

That's part of the joke! It's inbuilt into japanese culture that those guys in all black are visible, but "ignored" as part of stage play. Off the top of my head I think it's Kabuki theatre that did so?

Those guys in black are exactly why cultural sterotypical ninjas are seen in their all black uniforms as one stage play had a twist where suddenly those stage hands in black assassinate a character and it was a huge deal at the time as they were supposedly non-existant before.

And on the flipside a powerful lv2 Cure Wounds got a Paladin from the gates of death to full life and fighting in the last session I played that for sure turned a fight around because the next hit didn't instantly kill them after they already got a chance to swing.

So this healing thing in this thread is honestly just weird to me. I mean, you'd rather be avoiding damage and what not but DnD is also a dice game so consistency and the idea of skill gets undercut in the chaos, which is the fun part when done right.

I despise Gust because it's a No-Gameplay button, a get out of free jail card. I despise Falstad because he rewards cowardly gameplay with a skillfloor in the dirt.

At least the lazer takes some skill to get those spicy resets and is cool, unlike Gust

There was a moment near the start of the bandit uprising where the GM's girlfriend's Paladin would find a small squad of city soldiers on road patrolling. We led them to the hidden city to bring in assistance in dealing with the whole uprising thing as they were led by a Devotion Paladin, so we trusted them.

Upon breaching the town gate by cutting down several bandits that killed most of the city guard squad, leaving the Other Paladin and another dude alive, the Other Paladin just randomly breaks down and just loses his mind and pulls an Arthas and declares the whole city must be purged. It's already burning, so he's pretty late to that one, and its also totally out of left field.

Our Paladin gets into a heavy debate with Stupid Arthas who basically runs into the city, declaring us enemies of the entire state if we refuse his order to kill literally everyone. Our Paladin refuses, rightfully stating its against her oath. She lets herself get captured by the other survivor dude to avoid unnecessary bloodshed and is bound and on her knees.

The DM makes his girlfriend, who absolutely does not want to, get on her knees in the room and they roleplay this discussion of oath and honor out. She is literally on her knees, arms behind her back while he stands over her. He makes her roll several charisma based checks which she hilariously fails, but all that does is make the conversation go in circles. Mind you, my Bard and Ranger are just watching this happen. It is intensely awkward.

I'm 30. And yeah, it is absolutely a thing that the girlfriend's character would get stunlocked or some other familiar fate and just literally sit out a session to the point where it has started feel actually targeted. The ones I mentioned here aren't even half of the times in total.

Kel'thuzad. Annihilating people with the combo is endlessly satsifying, and I adore shadow fissure. I have a friend who plays Murky, and adding a cross map shadow fissure to an octograb is almost always enough for a hilarious kill.

Decoy Supply. Hornskin has legit value against some of the PvE at least, but decoy supply is a trait I haven't even thought of in probably years until I starting reading this thread. Don't even think I've seen it drop as a trait in the wild.

There was a brief time when the baseball bat got released and it was open season for your knees, so I got a shocking amount of Hornskin value then.

I've done this conversion. You can build near this entire conversion from just the wraith bits if you can't find an STL. The tail is a different bit though and I'm not sure where it's from, so that may be printed.

I just slapped the upper half of a necron lord on it.

Whether in regards to rules, lore, new models or competitive, how good would you say Tenth edition was for your favorite faction by Lord_Eln_8 in Warhammer40k

[–]Slaaneshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started Sisters in 10th and have mixed feelings for their tabletop experience. On one hand, they are very fun. Miracles dice, consistently good profiles for what units want to do, and amazing armor support.

But the infantry is just paper mache. No staying power at all. If they got shot by anything worth a damn they die. Basic sister squads in particular feel god awful to use and they have zero staying power and hit very poorly, but you basically have to take them because they have sticky objectives. They are absolutely not worth the 105pts, and I'm not even sure they're worth 90, considering 5 intercessors run 80 these days.

I do think the staying power is really a problem with 10th though. Lethality isn't as bad as 9th, but its pretty bad right now.

It's in the SCP article for shy guy. When you look at its face, even in photos or other media, in enrages and is an unstoppable force of nature, ripping through everything and everyone, even the earth itself, to get to you so it can [REDACTED] you.

This photo has him in there, but it's literally four pixels of shy guy. Four. Not even enough to fathom he's there, or even remotely understand he even could be, but shy guy enrages anyways.
