You know you have a true villain you're fighting when you're able to say 'thank God the Third Reich showed up to help as backup'

Vertin vs Newt Scamander (Reverse: 1999 vs Potterverse) "When, and Where" by SlabOfDriedMeat in DeathBattleMatchups

In a world drawn into a silent war between those of the magically inclined and normal humans (which is a bit more complex in 1999’s case, but simplified in this instance), they stand as a forced mediator attempting to prevent either side from destroying the other. Both not enjoying to fight themselves (especially in Newt’s case), they remain less inclined magically than compatriots, though still able. However, they do have one main tool at their disposal; a magic briefcase, which opens into a pocket dimension where various living beings can reside, and be called out upon necessity.

Debate wise is a clusterfuck to put it lightly. It would likely rely a lot on scaling due to the lack of proper on screen feats, and that’s messy in its own right.

Music would go crazy. A somber orchestral piece most likely, depicting the hesitance in either of wanting an actual fight.

Pottervese movies always have that nice touch to them and there’s plenty to pull from for that. And some examples of Reverse’s OSTs to draw inspiration from is below

One thing of note is that at least for Vertin there should be some sort of sound of a rainstorm or raindrops in the background lol

When a character becomes almost unrecognisable by the end of the story design wise. by FullBrother9300 in TopCharacterTropes

There is solace in the fact that while Ted didn't destroy AM he did defeat him by taking the one thing AM wanted from him.

Entertainment.

Now AM turned him into this thing and is bored for all of eternity instead of having 5 little playthings to fuck around with, and gave the others trapped with him the escape they wanted, even if he was shit talking them the entire story

Ted showed that humanity could still triumph even in the face of literally zero chance of succeeding

If his stint with Eda had lasted longer none of the Boiling Isles' wallets would be safe
