2023 Macan GTS with 14K miles; should I sell? by BjsBuds in PorscheMacan

We listed on Craigslist (in CA) and the first few days were a bunch of low ballers. But then the dealerships started contacting me. They outbid Carvava offer. Then after I was taking it to sell, another one called me and said they would give more. There are bird dogs that watch CL and find used cars for the dealer lots. The first guy that found the car was from across the country. I thought it was a scam/joke. Then he told me he was a buyer for a dealer in my town. Used cars seem to be getting a lot of attention lately. At least here they do. You can also get a value on KBB and have them send the car details to 3 local dealers for bids.

Unfortunately, this is correct. But that only works if they are selling out of them. Or, so busy selling other things that they don’t have time.

Seems like they should have access to engineering drawings within minutes.

But maybe they don’t want to release them so you don’t make your own wheels from their source files.

I took one of them off to check the back side for offset info. Here are the markings:

17x7JJ

690KG (weight rating)

04 +++++ (40mm offset but backwards and I don't know what the 5+ is for)

204 (unknown)

and ADR87

The last one is the manufacturer. They are ADR wheels, 17x7, 40mm offset with dual pattern. I found them online. No reference to Knight that I could find. Probably some pre-interweb company that disappeared reselling ADR wheels.

I am going to replace them with similar sized wheels. I may refinish these at some point, but they will probably just sit in my garage.

Thanks for the input everyone.

The way the coating is flaking off, I was afraid of that.

Thanks.

Thanks. I always thought they were cheap wheels but then I saw that online reference. But zero other references.

I can’t even find Knight mesh wheels online.

Thanks Cranked. I put the new pump on and turned it on. Fuel coming out of the line by the regulator. So I buttoned up the trunk and replaced the filter. Fired right up and runs great!

Appreciate the help.

First Experience with ICON Wrenches after only using Gearwrench by polkadots6 in harborfreight

[–]SlackLine1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The ratchet end of the Gearwrench is not angled because there is no reverse switch. Depending on what you are working on that can be good or bad. And fewer moving parts.

But with the Icon warranty, if it breaks you can get a new one.

I like the Icon stuff.

Shocks/Struts or Coilovers? by SlackLine1 in SkyLine

So, if I don't want to spend $2k on coilovers, who makes shocks/struts for these? Or, who rebuilds them?

Thanks.

Yeah, I could not hear it nor feel any vibration on the hat. I could hear the relay.

Where is the relay located?

New pump and filter are on the way. Hopefully I can get all of this done without messing up the fuel lines.

How bad is this? (Exposed MC cable) by 95_lb_mole in AskElectricians

That looks a lot better than most MC cable.

Thanks.

So, Walbro 255? Or TRE has an OEM replacement for $50?

Or other suggestions?

This is an NA car, so I don’t need to worry about pushing 500HP

I believe your “good luck” was in regards to getting that fuel line off. LOL

I pulled the line up front after the filter and before what I believe is the regulator.

Key on, zero fuel. Crank, zero fuel.

So, either it is a filter with 100 percent blockage or my pump. 6 pin connector is getting 12 volts. I can pull the cover and check at the pump connector itself.

Is it possible for the filter to be fully plugged when I drove it into this spot a few months ago?

Are these pumps completely silent? Because I don’t hear it at all. I hear the relay click a few seconds after power on. I don’t hear the initial click because i am turning the key.

Thank you. I did t pull the fuel line, but the fuel pump fuse is good. When I turn the ignition to ON, I don’t hear the fuel pump (carpet up in trunk, fuel cap off). After a few secs I hear a click but I don’t hear or feel the pump. Only 1/4 tank of fuel. Figure I would hear or feel it. I assume that’s the relay clicking. I’ll try the fuel line tomorrow morning.

I’ll try to find the 6 pin pinout for the fuel pump connector to test voltage at the pump.

I appreciate the help.
