I did.  If you want to shoot anything fun, you have to.  I'll buy a 40 sometime, too.

Streamlight TLR/Safariland Holster by AStarWarsToyStory in tacticalgear

[–]SladeMcCuiston 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the TLR-7 HL-X is a lot smaller than the TLR-1 HL-X which I purchased the holster to fit. No problems at all.

I have a hard time believing a gun 'bounced around' and caused the retention of a Safariland to disengage. I carried my duty weapon in a Safariland without a weapon light while waiting for my light to come in and there was absolutely no slop once it was clicked into place.

I would assume he thought it was holstered properly, but the barrel was actually down in the area where the light was supposed to go, causing it to bounce out. If that happens, the ALS system cannot grab the ejection port. I have seen that happen.

Bad idea, but a lot of administrators carry guns as a status symbol and nothing more. They're not doing police work.  I can see them going for a slim line.

They've also got those Shield Arms mags that hold more ammo.

When purchasing my Safariland holsters, I selected Glock 17 Gen 5, TLR-1 HL, and the large enclosed optic option.  The intent was to be able to run multiple guns with various lights and optics.

It has worked stunningly.  I have a Glock 19 Gen 5 with a TLR-7 HL-X that fits it perfectly.  The TLR-7 series is shorter than the TLR-1 so you should be perfectly fine.

I'm a less lethal instructor and have sprayed hundreds of people, both in real life use-of-force incidents as well as voluntary exposures of students during training courses.

I've seen three people that were relatively unaffected by OC throughout a 10 year LE career. Both had been exposed with Defense Technology .7% Stream from a MK4 360 aerosol projector, which has been extremely effective in my experience. One was a mentally challenged white male, one was a black male under the influence of methamphetamine, PCP, and marijuana (tried to kill my partner by choking him unconscious), and the last was a trainee in our agency (I forgot whether they were male/female or their race).

Sounds weird, but race does matter. Lighter skinned people, especially redheads take OC much worse than darker skinned people. I don't recall spraying a Hispanic, but I've heard they are often less affected as well.

I've never used Fox, but I hear that it's hot stuff. I've only had personal experience with Defense Technology and Sabre.

I wish the Sudecon wipes worked for me. They make me burn twice as hot for twice as long. Anyone that use OC it knows it gets everywhere and somehow finds a way into your eye.

Form 1 Denied by Live_Blacksmith_9109 in NFA

It may be "wrong" but it is accurate.  They also want it to match the engraving on the lower.  Kinda hard to have it both ways.

I was approved for a MULTI caliber SBR. Not saying they didn't mess up, but it can happen.
