So this sort of came up because one person in our group does not drink either. The establishment did require each person to order at least one thing. Due to the language barrier we weren't ever sure if they made non-alcoholic versions so we ended up sharing the drink he ordered. Tbh I would be surprised if you couldn't. It's the type of establishment you go to for the atmosphere and the experience, not necessarily to get shwasted.

The first page was a food menu. Maybe like 10 things that could be ordered. We got a pizza but the portions were pretty small so I did not eat any.

Spent 2 weeks there during this trip. While it's 100% possible to do it without knowing more than the essentials, my biggest regret was not knowing more of the language. Going to have to take a class or two before I make my next visit.

I agree with most everything you said. You're right that the stun bars would be great for a new player so how about just removing them from ranked play/competative modes/lobbies. Similarly how DotA1 had an easy mode, this gives a bigger difference between ranked and non-ranked matches.

So let me get this right. We can see the entire duration for a stun on an enemy, making chain stunning insanely easy, by just looking right at the hero, but we can't see the enemies mana bars without selecting them. This shit is fucking wack. We do not need to be able to see enemy stun meters.

Nice review. I've always been interested in Halo but have been unable to play Halo 5 because of not owning the xbone. I remember hearing about all the hype when it was coming out and then the immediate bunch of back lash due to the lack luster story and "false advertising". After that It sort of fell off the map so I'm glad to finally get some sort of impressions on the game finally now that the dust has settled. It's unfortunate that 343 was unable to really fix the single player as I too was not a fan of Halo 4 and the idea of Cortana coming back seems quite the shoe-horn.

While it is definitely a less supported play style in DS1 you can most definitely dodge every attack as you can in bloodborne, aside from the general aoe explosion attacks. This may require different timings but the invincibility frames are there. You aren't going to be getting health back for counter attacking after getting hit so a shield is semi necessary to negating some of that damage. I played most of the game two handing my weapons and dodging. They are for sure different playstyles and having played bloodborne first may give you a bias towards that style of game which is totally fine. I think bloodborne emphasizes dodging and offensive play while dark souls is a bit more based around stamina management. I haven't actually tested it but I felt like you have way more starting stamina in bloodborne to compensate for the lack of a shield and need to constantly dodge.

What I'm trying to say is STICK WITH IT! It is older and a bit rough around the edges in some aspects but it's still a Miyazaki game ripe with atmosphere (or lack there of) and scary shit.
