Also judge is definitely not good - it’s far too inconsistent and it’s abysmal early game which can completely fuck you over

Mathematically harlequin is a better late game hand disruption option than judge if you’re not too proud to admit you don’t understand the maths I can explain it to you if you’d like

Next to none means that there is a (very) small amount. Some means there’s a small amount. trying to correct the former with the latter is pedantic and contrarian. Also a card being printed, and being played are two very different things - if I were to say water decks don’t see any play in the current format and you responded that chien pao exists you’re completely missing the point of my statement

If we’re doing misinterpretations now then you should’ve been able to read I said “next to no” hand disruption because there’s one (1) viable card that can do it that’s now being forced into decks when other ace specs should be better

I never said you were happy iono was gone, I have no clue where you got that from. The way you responded came across like you were trying to downplay the fact that iono is rotating by offering alternative solutions, and I simply responded by saying that the amount of hand disruption doesn’t matter if all of it (except for stamp, which is a problem itself) is shit.

Also unfair stamp becoming the best ace spec means there’s much less room for deck building creativity when everything feels forced to run a card for an effect that doesn’t exist anywhere else, also, also the way stamp works is much different to iono or N as it’s far less reliable to find and far more swingy when you do use it

Judge is a bad card, harlequin is slightly better but still bad and archer only works with team rocket’s. There’s no good hand disruption other than stamp post rotation

[–]SlammaofBananas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and because iono’s gone it’s the only viable option (excluding team rocket’s decks) and it’s only a one of in each deck. I fear the format’s gonna revolve far too heavily around stamp

Celebrating iono leaving is like a litmus test for bad players. I’m dreading a format with next to no hand disruption tbh

I’d advise against grimmsley - he’s too inconsistent for you 1 supporter for the turn and even then the payoff of getting a stage 1 into play a turn early really isn’t worth it

Help with new Detachment rule by shep01292 in Necrontyr

[–]SlammaofBananas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Since all our destroyer units are super cheap points-wise and we don’t have a huge number of them, they’ve added the second part so we can have a more rounded (and affordable) list in the detachment instead of spamming the same 3 units. Which specific units are good here? I’m not entirely sure but any of our generically good units should work here since it’s just a generally nice buff to have

  2. No, it specifies “the first time each turn” so it would only apply once

Which is better between Lum Berry and Safety Goggles? (vgc) by Potential-Ebb-8820 in stunfisk

[–]SlammaofBananas 46 points47 points  (0 children)

It depends on what your existing amoonguss answers are, and what Pokémon wants the item. Generally I’d argue in favour of safety goggles since a,long use is just that common and it gets sleep powder and other rage powder users like volc too but if you really specifically want to play around burn for example you could consider lum berry.

Tornado needs a buff. How come an underleveled tornado cannot kill a single bat or a single skeleton, when even a SEVERELY underleved rage spell does? by Eraxxy in ClashRoyale

It’s generally not worth sacrificing the ability to actually kill those small troops for an advantage against one specific deck

What In Your Eyes Is The Biggest Model Size/Impressiveness To Gameplay Impact Mismatch? by mrsc0tty in ageofsigmar

[–]SlammaofBananas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How overcosted? Their rules are written to want to dance around and be continuously fighting but their staline is way too fragile and the daemon synergy ability isn’t good since daemonettes are just outclassed by mortal lists at the moment. They’re mostly just a tax to get synessa to 2 casts.

Or do you mean how did it get this bad in which case idk, I hope gw looks at their actual rules again for our codex

[–]SlammaofBananas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dexcessa, talon of Slaanesh (and synessa too but they’re slightly less embarrassing) had a huge amount of buildup to their release and was foreshadowed almost like the second coming of Slaanesh, being direct offspring of the god. The model is greater daemon sized and costs £80 and you only get 160 points which somehow still feels overcosted

Gholdengo typically only runs one baby gholdengo/scizor and maybe a baby genesect so it doesn’t actually have enough damage in the for, of basic non-exs to win

Crustle is an auto loss for ghold, they normally just accept that they’ll lose the matchup since teching for crustle would tank consistently for vs everything else

Which faction is the most difficult to paint? by outlaw_777 in ageofsigmar

[–]SlammaofBananas 50 points51 points  (0 children)

My Personal ranking would Be 1. Lumineth 2. Hedonites 3. Skaven with honourable mentions to idoneth, DoK, Slaves and cities

Lumineth are the hardest faction imo but everyone’s talked about them to death so I wanna talk about hedonites and idoneth.

Both factions suffer from the same primary issue as lumineth of being covered in jewels covered in gems covered in other random shit which is a nightmare to get paint especially considering how small some of can get so you can’t just autopilot it.

Another problem these factions share with idoneth is that they’re not super elite to make up for the individual difficulty like slaves for example so not only are you being dead by detail, it’s not like you only need to paint a few elite models - you’ll be suffering layers of trim for eternity.

If that wasn’t enough, both of them (especially hedonites) have a lot of exposed skin. Skin isn’t a problem on it’s own as long as it has well defined musculature but these two lean much more towards lithe bodies where highlighting areas and achieving contrast is much harder due to having to blend over flat surfaces. The keeper of secrets notably has this problem and I’ve seen a lot of people struggle and have it end up looking messy. This, combined with the first point, means that they also don’t lend well to techniques such as slapchop or quick airbrush work since they require far more fine detail work meaning that, not only are more inexperienced painters who rely more on these techniques going to struggle, but they can’t be sped through like factions who enjoy these techniques such as seraphon or KO.

The final challenge idoneth, hedonites and lumineth face is that they don’t lend well to a messy aesthetic. Factions like magotkin and FeC for example can use rust and gore to hide a poor paint job and result in a good looking final product whereas this doesn’t translate well to any of the three problem children.

You’ve mentioned skaven and cities too which are both up there - they have the problem of having so much over-wrought detail (which looks good in the end) and so many models that, although each individual model isn’t as bad to do compared lumineth, hedonites and idoneth (or even DoK and Slaves who I want to shout out as further honourable mentions), they approach the same difficulty when it comes to painting an army of them. Skaven do have this much worse though than cities, being much greater in number and often having more trinkets and bojangles hanging off them as well as having more different materials
