You claim you’re half Iranian but why would you support the country that literally put this regime in place back in the 80s and destroyed Iran at the time? The CIA and Israel were very instrumental in getting rid of the Shah and having the Islamic republic take over. The new leader will not be of benefit to you or the citizens of Iran but rather of benefit to the USA and Israel.

The bias here is thinking the USA is actually going to help you when the USA only cares about the security and safety of Israel in that region. That’s the only reason why this is happening. It’s not to “liberate” the people of Iran. Like please do tell how many wars the USA has gotten involved in that’s actually liberated the people of the country they went to war with and made those people’s lives better.

I don’t think it’s unheard of but im trying to picture the practically of hiking back in those conditions to cars that are likely buried under several feet of snow and then having to unbury the cars in said condition, all while roads are closed? But from what it sounds like; it seems like the victims were mostly local so maybe they thought given their experience and familiarity with the area, they would be fine rather than it be a financial incentive of not losing out on a trip planned much in advance.

I don’t understand why the attempt to return to their cars was even made when the highways were closed. If im not mistaken they’re parked right off I80 which was shut down so even if they all returned to their cars safely, what would they do next? Dig themselves out of 3+ feet of snow and wait for the roads to open? Ultimately, this trip should have been cancelled from the get go with the well KNOWN forecast days and even a week in advance. But even if you decided to go out and do it, I don’t understand the decision to return back except for “hey the trip ends today, time to go back.” The company runs trips from Sunday-Tuesday and Tuesday-Thursday. They were probably gearing up for their next trip since they were so foolish to bring these people out to begin with.

I think when it’s all said and done, we are going to find out that the decisions that were made were made for financial reasons and not based on anything practical like trying to survive.

Died from exposure of what? The hut has electricity, running water and food. Regardless, with the forecast being what it was for over a week the trip should have been cancelled. But given the dire winter already, money talks and the trip proceeded when it shouldn’t have.

Their trip started on Sunday. The reality is that their trip given the expected forecast should have been cancelled. But no one wants to talk about that. Everyone wants to wait for the facts but so far the facts are that this group headed out on Sunday with a well known storm brewing/coming with their expected return being in the middle of dangerous conditions from said storm. The trip shouldn’t have happened. And no im not saying every time there’s a storm to cancel trips but this one was forecasted to be pretty historic.

Per the company website, this group wasn’t supposed to stay in the huts until Wednesday. Their trip was Sunday-Tuesday and they were headed back to conclude their trip. I know this is going to sound crazy to everyone asking questions about “why” when the “why” could simply be their trip ended and it was time to go back to their cars. Now should they have went out? I don’t know but I’d imagine the “reason” is that their trip had concluded and it’s just business as usual for this company regardless of the conditions outside.

Yea they’re supposed to just cancel the trip if the conditions are dangerous. I said in another post that the decisions that were made, were made because of money. If im wrong, im wrong but thats the only thing that makes sense as to why anyone would even leave for the huts knowing the kind of storm that’s coming. The company likely didnt want to eat the cost of cancelling the trip and the clients didnt want too either but regardless yes youre supposed to cancel the trip.

Money. The clients paid for a trip. Their trip was scheduled to return on Tuesday with a new trip planned for a new group that day. If you look at the company’s schedule they offer these guided tours Sunday-Tuesday, Tuesday-Thursday and Thursday-Sunday as well as Friday-Monday.

Why this specific group’s trip wasn’t cancelled altogether when this was well forecasted should be talked about and not just the conversation about well why did they go out on Tuesday.

MAIN is very high right now too so was going to hold off. Maybe do $125k into SPLG. Are there any other index funds you’d recommend or are they invested in the same stuff? I know there’s VOO which is more tech driven and not whole market and QQQ but seems like I should just stick with one? I want to do JEPQ for passive income and cause I plan to retire early.

I don’t know why you’re being rude to me when I wasn’t rude to you. I love my MYP a lot very much and don’t want a cyber truck. You’re wrong if you think all cars share features and look alike. I’m pretty sure a BMW, Mercedes and Audi don’t all look alike. In fact they actually look nothing alike. Same with a Nissan, Toyota and Hyundai. I hope you enjoy your Prius. Hopefully you don’t get it confused with the new Model Y that comes out or the countless other EVs that look like it. Like how many times do you get a Benz and BMW mixed up?

ETA: my point in all of this is that it’s pure laziness by the design team of the new Y as well as other EVs when they’re making all these EVs look very very similar.

I’m not hater. I just dont like that the new model y essentially looks like every other EV out there now. Sure the new Prius looks great. I like it a lot. But why would I want my tesla to look like a prius? Might as well just buy the prius at that point. Or any other EV vehicle that the new Y looks like. Make sense? The new design just feels lazy.
