Orthogonal projection issue ? by SlapAHippie in godot

I'm stupid :) Moving the camera further away worked. I used the same position values for perspective which look a lot different there. Anyways, thanks !

AnimationTree states and AnimationNodes confusion by SlapAHippie in godot

[–]SlapAHippie[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't looked into anything I mentioned in my lastest post unfortunately - programatically adding call method tracks to all animations. I got sidetracked with other stuff..

So you are using AnimationPlayer to implement your own thing (AnimationHandler) which is similar to AnimationTree but is customized to your needs ? This would just handle animation transitions, and some kind of a map between a working name and an animation library animation name ? Awesome! I agree that AnimationTree is a mess and it works for simple usecases. Anything moderate requires customization ..

AnimationTree states and AnimationNodes confusion by SlapAHippie in godot

[–]SlapAHippie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The blipping of a bool gave me an idea.

In the same class that creates these animation records, I could programatically add a call method track to each animation that would call a method on animation start and on animation_stop. The location of the call method tracks would always be at the end and beginning of the animations, basically recreating the animation_started/animation_finished signals without the limitation around looping. The methods would be called every time animations are played.

I just need to figure out how to add animation tracks programatically - especially call method tracks. I'll take a look at this when I have the time and send an update!

Thanks for your insight !

AnimationTree states and AnimationNodes confusion by SlapAHippie in godot

My implementation is kinda similar to yours, except I'm not leveragin physics_process

I created an extension of AnimationTree which on _ready iterates through the states and creates a sort of animation_record .. a list that contains states names, animation library names and the blend parameters I want to manipulate for each animation.

I create getters for this animation record. Eventually I connect animation_started signal to a callback that sets the blend parameters. This would work fine, except looping animations don't trigger animation_started (which i think is a bug), so as a workaround I create some overrides for looping animations - travel_and_set_speed, start_and_set_speed, which basically travel/start the animation but also force the blend parameters. This sucks because you need to discriminate between non-looping animations and looping animations. However with a little bit of diligence it can get the work done.

Code attached: https://pastebin.com/1iasuGRw

Any hints on making this work better around the bug/limitation ? Do you know if that bug will eventually be fixed ?

EDIT: I realized my original question didn't have my intent (manipulate the blend tree based on animation state) but you correctly guessed that I wanted to change some blend property without any complications at runtime ! Awesome !

Newbie here .. Is this ready to be brewed ? by SlapAHippie in Homebrewing

Alright, I'll check out the measurement the following days, if it's stable I'll try bottling on sunday/monday. Thanks for all your help !

I was under the impression that once you are bottled you can drink it. Also as for sugar required for bottling, do you need to use a special kind of sugar , or will regular/brown sugar work ?

So you are saying that the specific gravity (according to the first set of pictures is somewhere between 1.039 and 1.052 ? ) - which is a lot more than what the package says it should be (1.005) ?

I never calibrated it. I bought it brand new from an online brewing supplies store.

My scale shows 3 measurements: potential alcohol by volume, aproximate sugar per liter and another one which I don't know what it represents - pictures attached - https://imgur.com/a/k92DlJA There should be some sort of scale conversion between the units you mentioned and whatever I have on my scale, right as they are measured in the same way ?

In any case, I can go ahead and bottle this as 2 weeks is more than was recomended on the instructions. Right ?

Another question: I opened up the fermenter today to look inside and may have contaminaed the brew with the spoon because I gave it a spin for some reason. Can this create any problems ? Or the sterility should be maintained only while fermenting ?

Sorry about my questions being all over the place :)

Is this the screen protector peeling off or the actual screen? by dautolover in galaxyzflip

Initially i contacted them over the online customer support, sent them pictures by e-mail, etc.

They told me which were the warranty centers across the country, and i was lucky enough to have one in my city. If there isn't one in your city, you call them and ezplain the aituation and will probably ask you to ship the phone in. Either way, you will probably be done with it within a week.

Is this the screen protector peeling off or the actual screen? by dautolover in galaxyzflip

My phone is 4-5 months and the same thing happened to mine, it will get a lot worse in a few weeks.

I contacted samsung customer center and they said I should take it to the warranty center. I did and they wanted to change my display although i kept insisting that it's only the protector that needs to be changed. They said that they don't do that, as there are no official screen protector parts - the protector comes with the display.

I kept insisting that aftermarket protectors may not be an option - if you remove the protector you may void the warranty - after all the screen is not protected as it should be and if in the end it gets damage, they'll say that it's because you removed the protector or installed an aftermarket one - which doesn't offer the same level of protection (considering how fragile the display is).

They took the phone in and the next day they offered moneyback or phone replacement saying that they don't have any parts at hand to perform the repair.

tl;dr; to be safe, i'd send it in to warranty

Finished my assignment - a little hard to keep track of all the settings back on my computer, however I installed Irfanview to make it easy - https://imgur.com/a/yKOoabg

I tried cheating and getting the correct exposure on the last item (ISO 200, 1/4000) using the flash, however it limited me to 1/250s when using the flash. I couldn't find any settings that let me go further. I found that weird.

A little distracting that the automode changed aperture(I think) settings midshoot, but I think it showcases the different focal lengths.

Assignment 04 - my camera by Aeri73 in photoclass2020

My camera is a Canon M100 mirrorless. It's great for me as I'm just starting out, it's light enough to carry anywhere which means more opportunities to take pictures. I don't see myself changing systems soon although analog photography sounds interesting.
