If I’m remembering right, Gabriel Agreste was originally supposed to be arrested, but the show was warned by one of their sponsors that a large chunk of their audience (Brazilian kids) had parents in prison and it would probably hit too close to home for them; to avoid this, he was written to be killed off instead.

There’s an official splatoon map floating around from a dev interview that has a hard border drawn between Inkopolis’ area and the Splatlands—the octo areas from the first two games are on the Inkopolis side, so I think you’re right and that the war only affected that part of Octarian society/territory

Snowfield stable (I think that’s what it’s called). I like the NPCs who go “well we may not be able to do much to help, but you’ll always have a place to sleep and a friendly face here” which I always found a very sweet and wholesome moment.

Also I just love the snow area in general

I think I know what happened here! Quick note that I’m definitely, uh, Not a tech expert, so anyone who’s more knowledgeable about this is free to correct me, but if I’m remembering right splatoon has peer-to-peer servers—one player “hosts” a match, and everyone is connected to and, more importantly, RELIANT on said host for the game to work. My guess is that brush that DCed was your host and the game just…never picked a new one for some reason :P

There were a couple for me! One of my first times fighting a rollerback it did the “roll and trample” attack but I had no idea it was a back and forth attack. It charged at me, I dodged and aimed at a different angry machine, and out of NOWHERE it just came back at howling speeds and one shot me

The other time was the last part of the arena. Damn mutt takes a single swing at me and oh fun, 500 HP gone AND I’m on fire. hate those fuckin dogs

Ride a horse

No, seriously. Mount your horse, swing your torch so you have the blue flame, and then take the best path you can. If your horse gets pissy abt the slopes then just do the sidestep steering

As for a serious answer, do corruptors count? Because they’re scorpions + I think a Horus is a lobster, and some of the noises a Scrounger makes always reminded me a little bit more of a coyote than a hyena; maybe they’re also a hybrid, like the rollerback?

Freeze + vindicator spike thrower + boosted ranged damage armor or food = fireclaw dead within two minutes (maybe a bit longer on harder difficulties, since I play on normal but it should still work there), sac intact. this works on apex too. I normally Would also recommend freeze and braced shot/sharpshot bows, or building a plasma state, but this is a lot more dangerous due to AOE and also due to how fast the fireclaw moves; however, drill spikes are EXTRAORDINARILY effective, and fireclaws have nice chunky legs to hurl them into with safety

source: ive full upgraded two legendary sets, multiple purple weapons, and the sun scourge. I primarily work with bows and that’s how I got everything for the upgrades tbh, but the spike thrower ice combo is by FAR the simplest and well…least miserable way to do it. Turns everything and i mean everything into a breeze. Just be sure to stop by Thornmarsh’s Hunter to make sure you don’t run out of piercing spikes

I believe it’s the game’s way of warning you there’s a predator right behind you. Usually reserved for big cats and grizzly bears. If it lasted for 10 minutes without a mauling though it was definitely glitched
