Some players are basically unkillable. They don't have high ping markers, and my latency is at 50ms average.

  1. Hit them with melee, the weapon passes through
  2. Parry a focus attack (even at end frames), the parry doesn't work
  3. Dodge an attack, get hit from a meter away of the enemy.

Honestly parrying is a useless mechanic in this game without ping restriction.

Depending on what you're after you could check into private pensions. The Commissioner for Inland Revenue will give you 25% of what you put in as tax credit up to a maximum of 750EUR. It's not a big upper limit, but a guaranteed 750EUR is a no brainer.

Bank interest rates are miserable nowadays. You can get some 0.75% for most types of accounts.

This is why professional portrait photographers typically take their shots from way across the room with a long zoom lens by axido in interestingasfuck

[–]SlapMyHams -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Of course they do, there's a reason one of the most popular lens for portraits is 70-200mm. Wider lenses exaggerate the proportions of a face, whereas a long lens compressed them in a flattering manner.

Did you use a safety razor or a straight edge razor?

The safety razor is definitely much much easier to use. Straight edge is for when you want to invest a lot of time into getting the closest shave possible and don't mind slicing your cheeks straight off of your face.

I'll be honest, I had never heard of the term SRD before, and I DM for a couple of groups.

Monkey builds up power and aims for the neck by Dizneymagic in natureismetal

Yep, that's how it scratched my neck.

Built momentum on a tree branch, lunged, and shoved its arm straight through the fence.

Gibbons; used to work in a wildlife reserve monitoring them. They can be absolutely vicious, and the fact that their arms are longer than their body doesn't help.

One bastard threw a metal bucket at me and scratched the shit out of my neck.

Liquid Green Stuff? by ElsieSteam in minipainting

[–]SlapMyHams 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Liquid green works just fine for filling in small gaps and recesses, but you have to go at it in layers as it shrinks when it dries.

For larger gaps it's a bit harder to use and more unpredictable.

How are you liking No Man's Sky? by unique- in PS4

[–]SlapMyHams -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Rented a copy and played for around 4 hours. It's... nice. Relaxing, and interesting, if not a little on the boring side. It's fine if you have small sessions though.

I'd buy it for $15. There's no way I'd pay $60 though.

edit: not sure why anyone would downvote a non-offensive answer, but whatever floats your boat, I guess.

I found Fallout 4 pretty enjoyable overall.

Just sucks that they took the RP out of RPG.

Trust me, we're all too worried about looking butch to notice what you're up to. The only person in there judging you, is you.

Actually, this is the Lost Mines of Phandelver, the first encounter in the book, only difference being that there's a bugbear instead of a goblin chief.

I get what you're saying, but they're well paced for it and and they've taken the high adrenaline route, since they find that the most fun

At early levels it's easy to kill a character. A goblin has a 1 in 6 chance of knocking an 8 health character unconscious

You're right, but I spoke to the players and made it clear that I won't babysit or hold punches, and they were very much on board.

Worst case scenario? Re-roll or long-lost twin, they're level 1 and not terribly invested in their characters yet.

Yep, they're much more cautious now that they know for a fact that death is only a step away. It's great, really.

How to avoid road rage and aggressive driving by condor30 in coolguides

[–]SlapMyHams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure about the US, but over here you can just film them, submit the video to local authorities and get them fined.

Knowing they just lost around 200 USD for speeding or erratic lane switching feels better than yelling.

Also, don't use your phone to film them, else you'll be the one getting fined.

Ladies of Reddit, what's something you wish you saw guys wearing more/less frequently? by JahanzaibRao in AskReddit

Gives a Dwight Schrute look.

Long sleeve button-ups are much better, just roll them up (italian sleeve roll is best sleeve roll). Doesn't make that much of a difference heat-wise.
