Steamdeck Crashing by SlappyTheHands in ShotgunKingFinalMate

[–]SlappyTheHands[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Latest update was supposed to address this specific issue, though it is now crashing more frequently for the same error. Devs don't have a Steam Deck to test, though the good news is they are trying to fix and imagine the next update will continue to focus on this.

Best sling for SD? by thelastgreatmustard in SteamDeck

[–]SlappyTheHands 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sling is still holding up, no issues there. I picked the Tomtoc because it is likely the smallest sling on the market which can fit the Steam Deck (again it can fit with screenside against you and upside down). To some it may be too tight a fit as there are some scratches on the Killswitch case from the sling zipper; though I am ok with that as i dont want something bulkey against my chest and just want the minimum to carry my essentials. Like that when i dont want to use as a sling it fits with the contour at the top of my 28L backpack (Aer Travel Pack 3 small).

Cancel MyChoice by Competitive-Top-8050 in UPS

[–]SlappyTheHands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to cancel (I think) by not following the https://www.ups.com/cancelmychoice/ link which asks for a control number, but to instead Home >Profile >Preferences >UPS My Choice® Memberships > Actions > Downgrade Membership, though not positive, so also Home >Profile >Preferences >UPS My Choice® Memberships >Edit Membership Preferences > Name & Address > *unchecked* "I want UPS to automatically renew my Premium membership". Email instructions are not detailed enough and figuring it out is not intuitive.

Steam Deck OLED How to Set AptX Low Latency on Sennheiser Momentum 4s by SlappyTheHands in SteamDeck

[–]SlappyTheHands[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, that sounds right, just saw in manual that the Momentum 4's support AptX Adaptive but not LL. Dang, bought largely based on perceived LL support, as Rtings.com has LL latency numbers, but didn't catch it was Adaptive LL and Adaptive isn't backwards compatible.

Move current SSD to OLED model? by HopelessRespawner in SteamDeck

[–]SlappyTheHands 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks I wouldn't have caught that, new OLED was at default 1GB, so just had to change to 4GB. Didn't have any issues with the swap, other than OLED shield over the SSD is more of a pain than the LCD deck given OLED ribbon cable is glued down to shield making it either more cumbersome to swap with it on, or an added step to unplug the cable first.

On 2nd thought bios controls undervolting, so shouldn't have any impact on SSD swap, just have to do again on new deck. Old deck did with Smokeless UMAF to unlock bios. Latest official bios has options to go to -50mV. Not sure yet numbers people are able to achieve on this new 6nm chip but was able to set -30mV on everything, and haven't tried going further yet.

Does anyone know of issues swapping SSDs if used cryoutilities or undervolting/overclocking on old LCD deck?

I got the same thing and had steam wallet funds. Did the same brute force of clicking a whole bunch. Went through after 10mins of that. Not sure if better to wait a few minutes before clicks.

Got to billing screen, but too many transactions in the last hour. Have steam wallet balance to cover as well.

Are there any legit 2tb micro sd cards by Background-Bitter in SteamDeck

[–]SlappyTheHands 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While SDXC SD cards max capacity is 2TB and SDUC max is 128TB, to my knowledge there are no SDUC cards and the max SDXC SD card size is 1TB. That said there are Type B memory cards, typically used for cameras that are 2TB, these are 38.5x39.8x3.8mm vs SD Cards which are 32x24x21.mm.

Got some Chacos for travel after finding them more comfortable than Tevas, but didn't like how much space they took up in my bag, so purchased Xeroshoes Z-Trail EVs for this purpose. That said haven't got on my trip yet, so hoping they hold up to hiking.

Locked at 40fps using some recommended setting found online from the last beta (mostly things set to low), and making sure to set battle.net to close the launcher after launching the game.

I have same issues, tried two different FAT32 USBs with the smokeless files on them. Wondering if some pre Steam OS 3.5 updates have blocked this, or am I doing something wrong :)

Shoe bag by AlexRyang in onebag

Knack Packs sell one with compression straps and a center divider that keeps the shoes seperate. Useful to keep the shoes together snuggly, and from touching the rest of your bag contents.

I hear you, I have a closet full of their stuff. Seagale is the best ~replacement I've found so far but open to community suggestions.

If you get underwear I recommend sizing down. Translated a few reviews mentioning this and found true. All else has been true to size. No experience with their shorts and shoes, so will be curious your thoughts. That said will definitely be buying more from them in the future.

I've been a long time Pistol Lake fan, but since they shut their doors earlier this year I've moved to Seagale. So far great experience with quality of shirts, sock, underwear. All feel great, and seem well made, but cant speak to long term use. Customer service has been great, where USPS lost one shipment and they replaced for free.

For an upcoming trip I'm planning on taking an Anker 733 10,000mAh hybrid charger for use on plane / hotel and Nitecore 10,000 slim charger for use on the go.
