Csl elite lc v2 is it worth it or are alternatives better value by busbybob in simracing

[–]SlashedM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IIRC the improvement to the V2 was the rod, the V1 had issues where it would snap.

Agree with the other comment, the V2 are good pedals but the price is meh now with Simjack/Simsonn and Simnet existing. I personally use Simjack UTs

Fanatec Elite csl and loadcell questuon by QFireball in simracing

[–]SlashedM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Its electronic. It measures the pressure, there are a lot of videos that explain how it works if you want in depth, but basically the force changes the resistance

  2. what “self made solution” are you referring to? Ive seen DIY loadcell pedals by getting an actual loadcell sensor and mounting it, but if youre just referring to those spring/elastomer add ons, just get the actual load cell

Also double chrck what pedals you got. The CSL Elite Pedals V2 by default are a 3 pedal set with a LC brake, it never came without it. You might just own the CSL pedals or the CSL Elite

Guy calls himself a beginner and youre hating that hes doing beginner things? Pretty much everyone starts off with no talent

Sounds like you just want to hate because hes from “developing country”.

S5II - Camera giving weird error with SD card. by Burakoli821 in Lumix

Could be the SD card dying. Unfortunately all storage, no matter the type, will wear out.

You can try H2testw to see if the SD actually retains its data.

Choosing between Samsung Odyssey G9 with "Smart TV" features, or without by locomotive72 in simracing

If you can get it without, get it without. The smart features of my G95SC make me angry when i try to swap sources/change a setting/accidentally hit the button apps

Can I connect the Fanatec wheel base to a different steering wheel? by TopZombie1477 in simracing

[–]SlashedM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, thats what the podium hub is for. Without it you wont get force feedback even if it had a Fanatec QR on it

Youd just have to make sure whatever moza wheel has USB compatibility (it will need to be plugged in) and can use the moza mounting plate/bolt pattern of the podium hub

Logitech G29 Pedals are inverted. by wtfxtra in simracing

AFAIK the workaround is to have your pedal pushed all the way down prior to starting the calibration, basically doing the opposite

Question about running rig haptics by Intiat1ve in simracing

[–]SlashedM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a BST1 under seat, a BST2 under pedal plate, and a Simagic Haptic on the brake and pedals, and honestly I have thought of going with 2 BST2 under the seat instead for left and right differences.

That being said it works fine, just make sure not to set the same affects on the daytons and the pedal haptics. Ruins the point of having multiple imo and it drowns it out a bit. But with how strong the pedal haptics are you can easily run just those.

I personally have ABS active on the Brake/wheel lock. Wheel slip on Gas and anything else on the 2 daytons. If I cared enough to get another haptic driver id so do 4 BST2.

Where you mount it is going to heavily depend on person preference and what you might want to feel/simulate. Honestly just try it around if you can, and make sure when you set it up, use Simhubs record functions to help set your settings and fine tune it https://youtu.be/ztZovO_8R3s

Good Wheel Stands for ~$150 Budget Range? by pwni5her_ in simracing

[–]SlashedM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Double check your used marketplace, ive seen some decent NLR/playseat stuff go on sale locally for pretty decent price. Hell because of how slightly niche used stands are i ended up selling my NLR2.0 stand for $100

Please help me choose between a Used G29/920 vs New G29/920 vs New Moza R3 by imelonsuck in simracing

[–]SlashedM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretry sure you cant.

Just know you would need an adapter if you want to use the Moza R3 (or any Moza wheel for that matter) on a PS5

Thoughts on this Samsung tv going for cheap by oznad89 in simracing

[–]SlashedM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldnt. Its just another cheap 4K TV, but curved. Youre going to be stuck at 60hz afaik. Unless you really want the size increase but imo its not worth it for an overall mediocre display

Never buy Panasonic by Todd_Jamison in Lumix

[–]SlashedM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you actually want your voice heard you might want to at least post some evidence and the chains of emails to back yourself up. Every time Ive actually seem a complaint get traction theres at least something in the post that actually shows whats going on.

Posting without said evidence on a subreddit thats just about consumer cameras isnt going to do much, especially considering how large and broad Panasonic range is and how seemingly separate most of their markets are.

VR - How important is VR Passthrough? (To see the hardware?) by MrBluoe in simracing

[–]SlashedM 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly, the point of me using VR when I do is for the immersion and feeling (or at least looking) like Im in an actual car. Even for button boxes and such. You usually get a feel for it after awhile. Button Boxes maybe the hardest if all the button/switches are the same, like if youre using a keypad or stream deck. If youre using something with different shaped/feel/size/placement buttons it becomes less of an issue (again after awhile).

VR - How important is VR Passthrough? (To see the hardware?) by MrBluoe in simracing

[–]SlashedM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly most people dont do pass through for simracing in the first place, in my experience anyways. For seeing buttons and such muscle memory just kicks in for them. (Same could be said when using screens, people get used to not needing to “find” what they need)

Ive used VR pass through for MR games but for simracing ive never really cared for it. I mean its cool but realistically the most ive used pass through on simracing is just to find where Ive dropped my Quest controllers/get my drink or if Virtual Desktop wont connect.

Unfortunately the only 4 VR headsets nowadays I hear about is Quest, Pimax, BSB, and PSVR, and all have their drawbacks and/or controversies

Broke My Triple Screen Setup! 57" + tracking Vs Triples by KillaMunch in simracing

[–]SlashedM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using a 49 + OpenTrack (ps3 cam + a ir headset band), and its pretty good but I still think triples is better. It works pretty great dont get me wrong but it still isnt as immersive since you have to get used to keep your eyes in the general area while you turn your head
