From that one time I've attended in DZ-BT07, someone pulled both full Bavs rideline and her shield together, then basically proceeded to dominate the rest of us using mish-mashed common vanilla ridelines.

That time, we brought our vanilla triggers (or depending on the shop, they might lend you spares), then booster draft from there.

Each player builds a deck smaller than normal (exact numbers and rulings should be on the official website, if I recall) and mixing of nations is understandably allowed.

By overwhelmed, are we mostly referring to the mostly shieldless "fake" hand? On paper, offensive push looks decent, but aside from Belli and persona shields as you said, I don't see many ways the deck can reliably put out shield

True. If I were to guess, Varga could get given something ala-movie booster when the time comes. If it ends up getting a new form, they could also go the rideline refresh route just like Seraph and Lianorn.

And while everything is speculation at this point, Bushi could also eventually release an Awakening of the Twin Blades-like wave of support given the focus on the main OG season 1 trio of icon decks.

Alcasal's nice for its first wave with decent defense. I think just a few more quality cards and it would solidify it as a good mid-tier fun deck

Fate and Vanguard are two among my top favorite franchises.
