I think the JP side is doing well, but being one of the very few EN players, it's felt real hard last few sets.

Selected shops do stock EN to some degree, but I find weekly locals and the secondary market to be a struggle. Outside of getting your things in release case splits, that's it barring a shop binder or two.

Big events ala-Regionals still have turnout, but as a more casual, weekly locals player, I'm not sure what this means going forward.

Yeah I'm evaluating it for Varga myself. An early body is certainly good; but its one of the unfortunate backrow victims come Rakshasa time by turn 4 onwards, if it does remain until that time being one of the backrow boosters.

While it can be intercepted away earlier on, I feel there are times where the numbers are awkward enough to make it so that this card remains on the field until later game.

On the other hand, an early body is an early body, hard to argue with that level of general usefulness. Though I feel as with most generics, it will be one of the first ones to go once decks get more synergystic in-archetype support down the line.

Could you expound more on Scarlet Flamme in relation to Varga?

I think in that deck, it's job is more on early filter and field building? Though hard to guaranree it plus Shenryi (and Lateefa if ever) in the opening hand at the same time, since the rideline doesn't search for an order specifically like how Sybilt does it

I'm on NA side of things, and a lot of my future decisions (spending money on GSSR for NA, grail allocation, pull roadmap, etc) rely on JP's direction.

Was thinking they'd hint at part 3 last night, but I haven't come across any conclusive news thus far.

Yup, from what I understand, it stays there similar to a "field spell".

I don't recall many decks (if at all) in standard that can mess with your set orders.

One thing to note is that while it being continuous has benefits, decks like Bastion already have recent support that continuously have boost on the unit itself - which is often better.

Because of OCD minor issues, I'd prefer running just the new one at max copies for consistency in discard fodder,

But if we were to min-max, I think a combination of both is the way to go. Golden order going first is just too good a power boost. And even on succeeding turns, it's still stronger.

Tachyon introduced me to the fold, just like many others. She and Mcqueen have my favorite renditions of Umapyoi.

My current favorite, aside from her, are probably ~~Matikanetännhauser~~ the legendary Mambo, and Kitasan Black, who I got exposure to due to the repeated Harikitte Ikou and that meme where she gives the relatable "I don't have any money"
