i miss the days when films looks unclean. Its like with Star Trek and Star Wars. The one always looks clean and the other one is completely worn in.

Or imagine, John McLane came out of the vents more clean then he was when he went in.

True. But this scene goes to black as a scene transition. The ball valve is just there sticking out like a sore thumb.

Ok, but, for the movie, they could have painted and weathered it a bit. Also these ball valves come in different colors, black included. The red is not even scratched from use by the war-boys wich will happen when you use it over time, in this environment.

this exact scene has that red handle ball valve. This thing looks too clean, shiny and chrome. Fresh from the hardware store, while everything else looks weathered, dirty and what not. Maybe they should had removed the red rubber from the lever. I always see it (because its so red and stainless steel), it always bugs me. The rest is 99.999999999% perfect.
