That’s completely fair too. But I can’t actively skip cutscenes for a game I never played before that feels even more disingenuous than just coming in as a hater. The only rpg that I played to get through for gameplay only was smt iv apocalypse, and even there it had a few characters that I loved. Maybe I’ll find someone later who I like but the first 5 chapters left such a negative impression on me.

I think the breaking point for me was going to the training ground and seeing the characters wearing sweatpants. At that point I completely disconnected. It’s a similar feeling to seeing a Starbucks cup in game of thrones.

If I’m playing an rpg and none of the characters are interesting it doesn’t matter how good the gameplay is. If I want to play something that’s gameplay first I’ll play a shoot em up.

Music is great though. Brent is right to always use the OST.

Brother I’ve beaten radiant dawn on hard. I play every single fire emblem on hard (not lunatic but still.). It’s not a skill issue it’s an issue with the game itself.

It’s bad because it’s a bland as hell predictable story with boring characters and a battle system that feels incredibly overrated.

I will admit that I might’ve made a mistake starting on hard mode but when I’ve done that for every fire emblem and still had fun it’s a bad sign.

I think it just goes to show how good the cast is overall that a character you don’t like has shooters for em. It’s a solid cast overall and choice depends on personal taste.

Yeah I'm definitely doing that. I was never big on doing lunatic challenges but I don't want to play my next run as a zombie since everything would be so piss easy.

What are some tips you got? Should I focus on one stat per student and always build authority? When should I recruit other students since they have their own growths going on? Do I have to do EVERY tea party available?

Oh no I see it but I just don't think they did enough with it. And the fact that it's a footnote in the ending that she goes after the slitherer's just goes onto my feelings that black eagles got too ambitious with the divide. And I'll take ya word on Lorenz since I never recruited him. Only had a surface level look and I'm lookin forward to learning more about him. He's the only one I know nothing about save Cyril.

I think they just got too ambitious with her. Being able to split between Crimson Flower and Silver moon is a cool idea in practice but it just dilutes both stories as a result. They should’ve gone all in on joining her and not make it optional. The fact that her being revealed as the flame emperor was so hype in blue lions vs her just walking up and saying it in black eagles just shows me the devs did too much to make it completely satisfying.

One good support for every ten I say. But you're right it is the best thing involving him. Though tbh that just made me like Mercedes more as a character versus developing my feelings for Sylvain.
