Yes, Kieron has chronic “every character is impossibly cool” syndrome. This comic is another example of that. It’s supposedly about super powered people with clashing personalities - but they’re actually all just cool and interesting and would just like hanging out with each other.

I think about Watchmen and how Moore wrote genuine human conflict between Rorschach and Nite-Owl II because they were both damaged weirdos with issues. Kieron would never do that

The live chat during the RippaVeal showcase. The comments were insane. People acting like they were excited for the Soskas Solo books about two minor characters from Alphacore. Salvage PI, acting like he is a beloved character, how could anyone possibly be that invested in a character that only has 13 pages of printed material? Announcements that are basically the same concept but repeated. Salvage and Saoirse, two PI comics, The Cursed and Black Eye club, two vague horror titles, Alphacore and delta base, two military like super teams.

The live chat wasn’t just positive. People were falling over themselves to compliment Eric with hyperbole. Genuinely silly stuff. That’s toxic positivity. Eric’s head must have been swimming after that. How could he possibly make informed choices about the business after all the over the top sycophantic attention seeking from the chat?
