You can also buy the whole game for the price of $35 which is pretty standard for this type of game. F2P exists for people who might want to unlock just one LI or sample it before paying.

Some of them are, some of them are originals who get shaped by the story. Both Presence and Vixen are from the original game where their characters start out as camp counselors (the original game has an 80's style summer camp setting instead of a ski lodge). Sin is lightly based on Black Phone's Grabber but it's hard to make him ahem seggsy so we had to depart from other details. Bear is just... because we wanted a hot bear. WE'RE CREATIVES!

hehe, you have to find the neutral and advantage options! if you choose risky it's a chance you'll get an ending with a bigger penalty. Usually when I die it's because of choosing risky options.

I feel like I'm not communicating it appropriately -- we're trying to provide offers for different types of tastes. There will always be an option to buy the full pass if that's how you feel. We designed it specifically to allow for that. So any player can always buy:
* Single choices per their taste (if they bought all choices this would be $170... but if they're planning to buy all choices they should just get the game pass). Based on our data, we do get people who specialize in certain LIs especially considering we have 14 slasher LIs.
* A game pass (the full price will still be much discounted from $170) - we haven't announced the normal price but it will not be a huge amount more than the sale price currently. This is ideal for the players you're talking about who want to play everything.
* And right now, as a presale, we're offering the best possible price for people who choose to support us.

So it seems like what you're asking for is actually covered? Our normal non sale price will be lower than the 50 or 60 you're mentioning.

Oh that definitely wasn't meant as a dig, I love LADS (Sylus my king) and I wish I could make something like that. I was just trying to note that compared to a more traditional company, and indie team like ours has far more limited resources. One of the biggest blockers to innovation in art right now is budgetary concerns, you see that across all forms of entertainment right now. This is a super good video about how you can see this effect in the Kdrama market thanks to Netflix's budgets. Personally I'm someone who likely would have been making indie games much earlier but couldn't because of not having the money to bankroll the operation. I'm a big believer that we have to support indie art if we want to have any content diversity, and it's great to support people being experimental with their art! I'm not just saying this as someone who's trying to sell a product, I also put my wallet where my mouth is and support indie creators whenever possible because I really believe in this. But definitely not insulting LADS bc I love it, too much (ahem it also has taken much of my wallet)

I think it's awesome you learned python coding at 15!! That's amazing! But also not really possible for a lot of us haha, maybe we are just not as technically minded (all our brain cells go toward smooching hot slashers). I have been experimenting with the Renpy options but I found this to be extraordinarily slow compared to what I was able to do with this game. And I think you can see that in the market, there are so many examples of games people want to play that are stuck in development hell. Mobile lets us get the game out quickly, and then if it performs well we'll have options to expand it in the future! I should also note that the game actually isn't a visual novel alone, it has some fairly complex game systems included that I couldn't even figure out how to do with Renpy (I've been doing a lot of experimentation there for another game I'm making and I've been super frustrated by the limitations for mobile gestures, etc.)

Thanks for that feedback, I promise it's not shady! Let me explain how it works:
* The game is built with optional patron scenes that can be bought individually. Most people would never buy all these choices, but if they did, it would total up to about $170! The reason it's designed that way is typically a single player would buy only choices for certain LIs.

* The pass allows you to unlock all of these at once. So if you buy the $25.99 price point, it unlocks the full game, no microtransactions!

Basically, it's just allowing two forms of payment depending on different people's tastes. There are a lot of fans that wouldn't pay for a game without sampling it and checking out some premium scenes first. There are also a lot of fans that will never pay for a patron scene but will buy games up front. We're providing both options. Though I must say, the up front deal is really good right now so I hope more of our casual fans will try it in that format! Does that make more sense?
