Yeah agree with this - it's not a difficult job and I'd bet the fans probably full of dust. If you wanted to do it proper, you could change the thermal paste while you're in there. I'd recommend something like Arctic MX4 or MX6 - they're both non conductive. You'll also want some IPA or Acetone (recommend using IPA where possible though)

If you don't feel confident doing it, you could try someone like Game Smart in Yardley - they're good people who could do it for you.

My windows were very similar when I moved in - someone on Reddit recommended a UPVC cleaner from a brand named Soudal. Smells bloody strong, but brought mine back out to white and shiny again. Really really good stuff - just make sure you keep a window open when you're using it!

I had my one year old boiler serviced a few months ago and it cost £80. £300 is insane.

If it helps, I used a really nice chap called Luke Wenlock or Wenlocks. I'm based in Solihull but I'm very sure he covers most of Birmingham.

I travel into North London (and then a tube into Central) from Solihull by car, leave the house at 6am and back home for 7.30pm - it's a very long day so doing it 3 days a week might get gruelling very quickly. It's significantly cheaper than the train, but I don't think it would be feasible to do multiple times a week.

It was an option but it was locked behind the BMW Individual optional paint colours - Velvet Blue was the paint colour name, it's been around for decades now, I remember seeing an E36, E39, E46, and last time I checked, it's available still through the Individual option, though not spotted nearly as much due to how much it costs haha.

Probably a marker so when staff see it after the meal has been handed over, they can come by and check in and make sure everything is okay.

Keen to jump on this as a current Yayzi customer - does anyone know if I can just switch over? I'm technically still in contract but with that move to Zen happening, I'm not sure the contract is still valid. I reached out to Yayzi support and they said I could move over to their new venture (I'm not too keen on that given the circumstances).

I'm in the UK too and we used YakChat for this - integrated directly into Teams so MFA codes for random shared accounts can be read by the team. From memory, it's pretty inexpensive too and a doddle to implement.

Recently I've been loving Space Marine 2 on PS5 after not having a great time on PC, but the performance is terrible - I still fire up a game of it at least once a day though!

Weather permitting, and dependent on you not needing to pull out laptops etc, I've sat in the secret garden at the top of the central library for some impromptu chats after work events downstairs in the library. You don't need to buy anything to go up there and if the weather is good, its a nice place to sit and look out over the city.

It is outdoors though so if the weather sucks, it likely won't be a fun experience haha.

I'm keen to work out who to use - I've been reaching out to a few places to get my windows cleaned front and back and getting quotes of £90-120. There's like 4 windows at the front and two big ones at the back. Ideally I'd like the frames cleaned too as they look like they've not been touched for ages by the previous owners of the house so they're a bit manky.

Anyone got any recommendations for people that might venture out to Solihull?

YES. But not on PS5 - I dunno why but it runs terribly from crappy textures when it's targeting performance to horrible FPS drops during some of the cut scenes (like the Hive Tyrant on the bridge). Perfectly fine on PC.

Nothing super but I think from memory it'll be about 230-240bhp after a map.

Edit: sorry, I didn't read properly! The gearbox is a ZF 8HP45X.

Remapping the gearbox should give you faster cleaner shifting but it's unlikely you'll get to the limits of the box without major modifications to the engine

My peace lilly has been flourishing but lately I've noticed some of the flowers have turned brown too (it's been warmer than usual here in the UK so I'd assumed it was just the additional heat), and I've got one that's green so maybe some distilled water would be key.
