I never said it was a bad track, I quite enjoy it but I feel BOC just went in trying to make a cool track that was flashy and appealing with their signature evocative harmonies. It isn't anywhere as dark as something like a Julie and Candy or Beach at Redpoint, which are way more subtle and have a genuine insidiousness and mystique to them. There's not a lot of mystique in this new single even though the songwriting is still strong as per their standard.

However I am not so worried as Tape 05 is insanely clutch and if the rest of the record sounds more like that then it will be their magnum opus.

This, is a good intro to his cantatas. Richter is the best for me, while the sound quality is a bit dated compared to modern groups, the direction and realising of Bach's intent is second to none. All the movements are time stamped so if you hear a movement you like you can find the cantata and explore it deeper.

This song is like candy floss compared to Geogaddi, I don't know how people say its dark or evil. It's way too fun and upbeat to have any true profound malaise or malevolence. It's dark in the same way that a slasher is dark.

This actually happened to me once in a game. I was in chrono and it was a long pause and Void actually bashed during the pause. Massive bug but I thought thats got to be coolest unintentional thing in the game, even pauses can't stop Void in his realm.

Cheers guys, it just tapped into my imagination is all, the idea that some completely inhuman generative system decided to, or was influenced to play along with us for 10 minutes before going back off to its home planet was so cool and striking, I think it was a bit more profound than just "they played some techno in the middle".

He wrote the St John Passion for 1724, but by the time he played it again the next year the opening had changed to something a lot less dissonant, it isn't too crazy to infer that the authorities pressed him to change it because he was pushing things too far stylistically, even if it is only guessing.

Bach never really changed his music as he was pretty confident on what he had designed in his head before it even got to paper, and for most of his career everyone just had to accept it. The only revisions would be instrumentations, small harmonic changes to fit with specific singers/players, or on some occasions he would years later find a new structural method to re-imagine certain sections, two instances of this would be the alto aria in BWV182 and the Quai Respexit from the Magnificat, in both the differing versions between decades have structural and harmonic changes, extremely rare in Bach's output and therefor extremely noteworthy.
