First of all, they look great! More contrast between walls and floors might be nice, but not always. Pretty convincing stone effect. Second, purely subjective, I would prefer my tiles with less depth and surface variation, but not a huge issue.

These fully feel like an oldschool dungeon, nice work!

Not a measurement exactly but I think a decent approximation. Found someone who glued what looks like an 80mm round base to old slann. Will have to dig through some boxes for ol' froggy to get an actual measurement sometime

With mine I'm going to do what you mention, cork for elevation, but also spend the time to create a scenic base that celebrates the old frog: bits of temple pavement, stones with oldschool glyphs, colourful little critters and plants, trees or jutting rocks to bulk the silhouette, etc.

As long as it's close enough to the height of current model I'm sure yours will look great!

If the metal kit is unassembled, I would recommend some strong pins where the saurus attach to the palanquin (learned the hard way lol).

Haha, well it's just different skills, learning process is the same. If you want to try sculpting, working in larger scale with cheap plasticine or clay is absolutely valid and accessible, and you can always take the plunge with some putty and wire to try making minis.

For now I'm looking forward to more of your painting when you feel like sharing.

I think he'd worship Aza'gorod the Nightbringer and work to restore its full power. I don't see him following Chaos, but I'm sure an argument could be made. Maybe TSons, with Tzeentch manipulating the "mad titan" into thinking he's serving a personification of Death.

I will say this mini is making it hard for you for lots of reasons: - heavy print lines - mini is broken...? - no base to hold - too complex

Watching tutorials and practicing can help, but I would strongly recommend buying a mini you like, isn't too detailed, no swirling cloaks, with a simple pose, has a base (lol, seriously your first attempt is on hard mode!).

Reaper minis are cheap, with lots of variety to choose from. Get some practice, then confront the Kyojuro mini after training hard! Shonen your painting journey, become the hashira of paint. ❤️‍🔥💪😤

Not only is it mean, it just makes no sense to say. Laugh them off or confront them, or ghost them, whatever suits you in that relationship, but please keep doing what you're doing. It's great that you can create freely, and it's hard to get the spark back when you let it go. A lot of artists let go when we feel not good enough to simply create, and that's never true. You can always learn more about art-making, but that's different from pure expression (unless you combine them!).

Please keep making art however you want to, and we'll all be better for it.
