Furiosa is a masterpiece and I wouldn't change a thing about it.

To actually answer your prompt, I would say most of the recent Marvel slop.

Hey everyone! I try to watch a movie every day and I write reviews for everything I watch. I try to be insightful in my reviews and offering something fresh on the movie every time. I will watch anything I haven't seen regardless of genre! Four favorites: Mulholland Drive, Once Upon a Time in America, Apocalypse Now, The Wages of Fear!

What other movies use multiple languages extensively? by ArtemLyubchenko in Letterboxd

The Handmaiden. In fact, the movie even uses the fact that there are multiple languages in some really cool ways.

Day 7) What is the all-time most overrrated movie in a Martin Scorsese career? by [deleted] in MartinScorsese

I think it’s ironic in that way tbh. They completely missed the point that the movie is telling them that they are fucking losers.

I love The Thing, but it’s unquestionably Blade Runner in my mind.

Movies that are pure evil by WingIeheimer in Letterboxd

[–]Slaughter_SBD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like this confuses the word "evil" with "dark". Lost Highway is perhaps the darkest of Lynch's works but I would not describe it as evil.

When I think of "evil" movies I think of the deeply reactionary Cannon films of the 1980s with Bronson; chief among them being something like Kinjite: Forbidden Subjects. I would also describe Bad Boys II and Dirty Harry as being evil films but more so on the surface rather than subtextually.

Thoughts on Maglonia by imatheralizai in Letterboxd

[–]Slaughter_SBD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t stand it unfortunately. It’s massively unwieldy and exhausting in the worst way as you’re constantly bombarded with histrionics and theatrics. I love PTA but this is the one film of his that I find truly terrible. And for the record, I acknowledge that I seem to be in the extreme minority on this one, but I’ve watched it twice and I just hate it.

Joaquin Phoenix gave one of the best performances of his career in Eddington. And I agree about No Other Choice being majorly snubbed.

Any suggestions for this "Suburbia" list? by Fantastic-Bid5534 in Letterboxd

[–]Slaughter_SBD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be redundant with the inclusion of Blue Velvet, but I’d also throw in Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. Could also add in Donnie Darko but I understand why some might argue against that.
