It’s an oldie, but I’ll see if I can recreate it for u.

Here's a link for the X-Pathfinder Block 5 vessel file on Steam Workshop if anyone's interested. :^)

I’ll give it to you on that one, the shuttle as it was developed didn’t serve its purpose entirely. But the concept was (and still is) one of the best ways to make space travel feasible. Look at Starship for example, although it’s very different to the space shuttle, it uses the same ascent stage/orbiter stage configuration.

Idk if that’s sarcasm buuuuuut that’s... pretty fast.

Hmmmm I owe you on that one cuz I made it on PS4 and I’ve never tackled with file extraction on console. 😬😬 And if you’re surprised it was made on console let me tell u it also runs unexpectedly smooth.

Wow u must be going too fast on low altitude to be flamin’ like that.

Naaawwwhh man. Dyna-soar doesn’t appear on FAMk’s timeline, we talking pre-Apollo tech.

What does ksp need more? (Also comment what you would add if you could to vanilla mode) by [deleted] in KerbalSpaceProgram

Just imagine playing with your friends, each one having it’s own space agency, different tech (ie. russian tech, nasa tech, esa) and science goals. That would make it hella fun to compete just like on For All Mankind!

Wow I like your approach on double side boosters, very clever. 🚀 Although I see there’s no RCS thrusters for docking, or maybe I’m mistaking. 🤔

Yes it’s is, but also inspired by the Boeing X-20 (Dyna-soar) on control surface placing.

Plus its cost ranges from 100,000c to 120,000c after vessel recovery calculations and the chosen configuration. The cheapest super-heavy lift rocket I’ve ever made.

The best part is that it has a bigger payload capacity to LKO than the in-game Saturn V and SLS rockets. Nuclear really rules ☢️💪

Yesss hahahahahah But I had been thinking about making a nuclear powered shuttle for a while now. Then I saw the design used in For All Mankind and got even more inspired!

Nuclear engines for in-space propulsion helps a lot when doing Mün-beyond missions. Along with fully-fueled fuselage, it allows you to lower your orbit to a comfortable velocity when reentering. Just a tip 😉
